Amid the silence, faint streaks of light flashed up one after another. Clearly, the representatives of the various factions were quietly transmitting messages, reporting that the Sky-Supporting Tribe had reclaimed and occupied an island-and a giant island at that!
Under normal circumstances, heaven and earth had stable laws, rules, and order of their own. An island's size and resources were important criteria for determining its grade, except in cases of special terrain such as forbidden grounds, sea eyes, or feng shui configurations.
Generally speaking, an island of the highest, "giant" grade had to possess at least a corresponding Heaven-Grade spiritual vein. More often than not, an accompanying Heaven-Grade immortal crystal vein would also be present, along with countless other mineral veins. Otherwise, it would long since have been worn away as the seas turned into mulberry fields.
Correspondingly, however, any giant island that had yet to be reclaimed was certain to be occupied by Emperor-Grade beings, whether demonic beasts, sea beasts, departed souls, other species, or the like. This was dictated by living creatures' instincts and the laws of heaven and earth.
The Myriad Heavens and Worlds were indeed boundless, with even more cultivators and countless races, but resources were finite and cultivators had to fight for them themselves. Higher-level beings instinctively occupied higher-level resources, or higher-level resources naturally gave birth to higher-level beings. This was an immutable law of the Great Dao.
Thus, factions could not simply occupy whatever territory they wanted; they needed the strength to do so. If an ordinary faction rashly landed on a giant island, it would merely serve itself up as a meal to the island's native forces, let alone claim the island for itself.
Over countless ages, only overlord-level factions had attempted to occupy giant islands, yet none had truly occupied one alone
