As its name suggested, the Karmic Fire Thunder Prison relied chiefly on karmic fire and heavenly lightning, special forces capable of severely suppressing all manner of powers. The Thunder Emperor had helped the Nine-Calamities Thunder Emperor refine it through great divine abilities, immense magical power, and profound wisdom, using the Tribulation Purple Lotus as its core, the Thunder Emperor's karma and lightning essence as its primary materials, and countless heavenly materials and rare treasures. It already incorporated a Heart of Heaven and Earth and formed a space of its own, with the Tribulation Purple Lotus as its vessel, lightning essence as its restrictions, karma as its means, and slain beings as its wardens. Wondrous and unfathomable, it was a multifunctional Heaven-and-Earth Treasure much like the Heaven-Earth Bell, only inclined toward confinement and suppression.
Given the characteristics of the Karmic Fire Thunder Prison, the wardens nurtured within could be considered members of the Spirit Race. They already possessed strong immunity to lightning elements, making them excellent shields against tribulation. Even the prisoners confined inside, long subjected to the confinement, suppression, and punishment of karmic fire and heavenly lightning, had developed tremendous immunity to lightning tribulations. At the very least, their endurance far exceeded that of other cultivators!
As for the Ba Serpent, the guardian beast of the Karmic Fire Thunder Prison, it had already fused to a certain degree with the prison and even the Tribulation Purple Lotus. Combined with its innate characteristics, its resistance to tribulation lightning was terrifying. With its size swelling so dramatically, its lightning resistance was probably not much worse than that of the guardian Golden Sea Dragon!
