Jian Shang, transformed into Kunpeng, swallowed over a thousand angels and griffins in one fell swoop, demolished dozens of magic towers and buildings, and sent the City of Light and Darkness careening several miles sideways.

Amid the ruins, the enormous Kunpeng returned to human form. Jian Shang involuntarily let out a burp, his face flushed as though he were drunk.
"Eighth Grade Loose Immortal?!"
Devouring the angels, griffins, and other creatures filling the sky had actually raised Jian Shang from Peak Seventh Grade Loose Immortal to Eighth Grade Loose Immortal without his even noticing. It was certainly an unexpected delight.
Perhaps this was another of Sky Beast Kunpeng's innate abilities-and part of what made him so terrifying-that Jian Shang simply had not noticed before. Moreover, the Jian Shang of today could hardly be mentioned in the same breath as his former self!
He looked around. The Ravenous Wolf Guards were, after all, elite troops who had followed Jian Shang from his humble beginnings, campaigning north and south all the way to the present. The dissolution of the formation had not thrown them into panic. They had already begun gathering in groups of three or five to fight the Radiant Army within the City of Light and Darkness.
Meanwhile, news arrived of the four major powers withdrawing and Young Master Lore retreating. The Radiant Army in the City of Light and Darkness had even less appetite for battle. The Angel Legion and Griffin Legion, in particular, took to the air in droves, filling the sky in a spectacular sight!
