Ch. 1321Emperor-Grade Auction (Part One)

Guihai Canglan secured the God-Imprisoning Ring for Xiao Ying at the Emperor-Grade auction, while Green Rong and Purple Lu warned Young Master Chonglou against interfering with Lord Tuotian. As the auction continued through rare treasures, Xiao Ying learned that demonic scales marrow could help his tribe expand beyond the Demon Abyss Void Sea.

  • Guihai Canglan bid one hundred supreme immortal crystals for the God-Imprisoning Ring, ending the bidding and winning it for Xiao Ying.
  • Green Rong and Purple Lu stopped Young Master Chonglou from bidding and warned him that meddling with Lord Tuotian could bring serious consequences.
  • Guihai Canglan explained that the God-Imprisoning Ring could restrain powerful beings and urged the group to spend carefully because their wealth was limited.
  • The auction presented a succession of seventh- and eighth-tier pills, medicines, flames, and treasures, leaving Xiao Ying and the Sky-Supporting Tribe in awe.
  • The auction introduced demonic scales marrow from the Demon Abyss Void Sea, and Guihai Canglan explained its connection to the Kunpeng Battle Garment as Xiao Ying considered his tribe's need to venture beyond the sea.

Ch. 1322The Emperor Grade Auction (II)

Xiao Ying learned about demonic scales marrow and considered the value of the Innate Kunpeng remains he possessed. He then backed Lan Yan and Lan Yu’s bid for Other Shore Essence, leaving the auction stunned when Lan Yan offered five hundred million.

  • Guihai Canglan explained how demonic scales marrow could substitute for rare materials, strengthen cultivators, and help the Kunpeng Battle Garment grow in power.
  • Xiao Ying realized he already had Innate Kunpeng remains and wondered whether the Battle Immortal King and Luo Ziyan had helped him for reasons beyond the Pangu Sacred Garment pieces.
  • After demonic scales marrow sold for seven hundred and ten million, Xiao Ying brought out Lan Yan and Lan Yu and offered to lend them Immortal Crystals to bid for Other Shore Essence.
  • Lan Yan asked whether Xiao Ying feared she and Lan Yu might return to Empress Island and seek rescue after their bodies were reconstructed, and Xiao Ying said he would not stop them.
  • Lan Yan bid five hundred million for the Other Shore Essence, bringing the auction to a stunned silence.

Ch. 1323An Extra Chapter

Chapter Summary

1. Key Plot Points and Events

  • Four years earlier, Huang Tian graduated from university with excellent grades and secured a promising white-collar job.
  • Disillusioned with ordinary working life, he quit and joined his fellow townsman Huang Dongsheng, the owner of entertainment venues and leader of a gray-area security/thug organization.
  • Over three years, Huang Tian’s intelligence, recklessness, and formidable fighting ability earned Huang Dongsheng’s trust and promotion.
  • He eventually became security manager of the Royal Night entertainment club, supervising dozens of men and earning over ten thousand yuan per month, with food, lodging, transportation, and entertainment provided.
  • Although Huang Tian is short and lean, his colleagues know that his appearance hides exceptional strength and ruthless methods.
  • During a rainy night at the Royal Night, Huang Tian stands by the window reflecting on his life, wondering whether he will continue drifting in the underworld indefinitely.
  • His thoughts are interrupted by someone knocking at the door. He invites the person in and approaches his desk, where a collection of weapons is displayed.

2. Character Developments

  • Huang Tian is presented as ambitious, restless, and dissatisfied with conventional success. His decision to leave white-collar work shows his extreme and independent nature.
  • His time in the gray zone has transformed him into a capable and feared enforcer. He has gained status through ability rather than merely through his connection to Huang Dongsheng.
  • Despite his outward success, Huang Tian feels uncertain and conflicted. He envies the ordinary workers below while also recognizing that his own position offers freedom, comfort, and financial advantages.
  • Huang Dongsheng is established as both Huang Tian’s boss and fellow townsman. His favor is crucial to Huang Tian’s rise, though Huang Tian’s own skills are what ultimately justify his authority.

3. Significant Themes

  • Conflict between ambition and reality: Huang Tian abandoned respectable employment because it failed to satisfy his ambitions, yet his new life has also left him questioning his direction.
  • Appearance versus ability: His small, unimposing body contrasts sharply with his strength, intelligence, and violent reputation.
  • Moral ambiguity: The entertainment-club security organization operates between legitimate security work and criminal enforcement, emphasizing the blurred boundary between lawfulness and crime.
  • Freedom versus stability: Huang Tian’s current life provides money and comfort but lacks the conventional purpose and social legitimacy of his former career.
  • Foreshadowing of violence: The detailed presentation of his spears, sabers, kukris, and darts suggests that weapons and combat will play an important role in future events.

4. Character Interactions

  • Huang Tian’s professional relationship with Huang Dongsheng is central to his rise. Dongsheng’s trust and patronage allow him to advance, while Huang Tian repays that trust through loyalty and effective handling of dangerous situations.
  • Huang Tian’s interaction with his subordinates is described indirectly: although outsiders dismiss him because of his size and background, the men who know him respect and fear his abilities.
  • The chapter ends with an unseen visitor knocking on Huang Tian’s office door, creating suspense and setting up the next encounter.

Ch. 1324Emperor-Grade Auction (Part Three)

At the Blackwater auction, Xiao Ying’s rivals outbid the mermaid sisters for Other Shore Essence, and VIP Seven emerged as a dangerous enemy of the Sky-Supporting Tribe. When the Heaven-Earth Bell reacted to a damaged jade slip from the Great Flood Imperial Palace, Xiao Ying bid aggressively, leaving his companions worried that they could not afford the escalating price.

  • In the Immortal Emperor Palace, the Blackwater lord warned Immortal King Yumiao to settle his grievance with Xiao Ying or kill him, while declaring Blackwater Island would abandon him if trouble followed.
  • VIP Seven outbid Lan Yan for the Other Shore Essence, and Lan Yan identified the bidder as the people who had tried to kill her.
  • Xiao Ying’s group feared VIP Seven’s powerful faction might target the Sky-Supporting Tribe after Red Butterfly Fairy announced the sale.
  • When the damaged jade slip from the Great Flood Imperial Palace appeared, the Heaven-Earth Bell rang, prompting Xiao Ying to bid one hundred million.
  • VIP Seven challenged Xiao Ying’s bid with supreme immortal crystals, and Xiao Ying raised the price to four hundred, despite his companions warning that they had only three hundred.

Ch. 1325Emperor-Grade Auction (IV)

Xiao Ying bought a mysterious jade slip and competed with guest number seven over powerful formations at the Blackwater Auction. After number seven paid one billion immortal crystals for the Sea-Calming Wave-Subduing Formation, their storage ring arrived, leaving Xiao Ying wondering whether they intended to bankrupt themselves fighting him.

  • Xiao Ying won the damaged jade slip for four hundred supreme immortal crystals and kept its mysterious restriction sealed.
  • Xiao Ying bid on the Myriad Ghost Domain Formation, but guest number seven outbid him and took it.
  • Xiao Ying raised the price of the Sea-Calming Wave-Subduing Formation to nine hundred million before guest number seven won it for one billion.
  • Guest number seven initially failed to send payment, and Xiao Ying mocked them while Red Butterfly Fairy asked the auction hall to wait.
  • A storage ring arrived from guest number seven, and Red Butterfly Fairy's changed expression left Xiao Ying speculating about their resources and hostility.

Ch. 1326The Nine Divine Land Cauldrons

Xiao Ying recognized the Nine Tripods Ten Directions Formation as the Nine Divine Land Cauldrons, a legendary protective formation, and learned that Li Jing possessed the missing ninth cauldron. He committed all his available Immortal Crystals to bidding on the formation, while honored guest number seven remained a threat.

  • Xiao Ying baited honored guest number seven into a bidding contest, then stopped raising his bid on the Myriad Wonders Withering-and-Prospering Formation after number seven offered six hundred million.
  • Xiao Ying explained to Hong Leopard Great Witch and the others that number seven seemed cautious and that the Sky-Supporting Tribe should avoid an unnecessary confrontation.
  • Red Butterfly Fairy presented the Nine Tripods Ten Directions Formation, and Li Jing recognized its cauldrons as the Nine Divine Land Cauldrons from the Pangu World.
  • Li Jing revealed that his Golden Linglong Treasure Pagoda held the ninth ancient cauldron, which would complete the set if the Sky-Supporting Tribe bought the formation.
  • Xiao Ying declared that the formation belonged to him and bid nine hundred and fifty million Immortal Crystals, exhausting his available funds.

Ch. 1327Primordial Torch Dragon

Xiao Ying spent the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s entire reserve of Immortal Crystals to win the Nine Tripods Ten Directions Formation, then offered the remains of a Primordial Torch Dragon for auction to obtain more funds. The chapter left him preparing to sell the rare remains after the auction manager valued them at a reserve price of four hundred million Immortal Crystals.

  • Xiao Ying bid nine hundred and fifty million Immortal Crystals for the Nine Tripods Ten Directions Formation, and no rival challenged him.
  • Guihai Canglan warned that the Sky-Supporting Tribe could not abandon its application to open new territory, while Li Jing gave Xiao Ying his ninth ancient tripod.
  • Xiao Ying rejected offers to borrow more Immortal Crystals or sell the Pangu Nine Tripods, and said the tribe’s connection to the Pangu World might be fate.
  • Xiao Ying summoned Chen Shuisheng, the Living Water Immortal King, and asked to auction an item in exchange for an advance.
  • Chen Shuisheng recognized the item as remains of a Primordial Torch Dragon and offered a four-hundred-million-Immortal-Crystal reserve price, which Xiao Ying accepted.

Ch. 1328The Myriad Wonders Immortal King

Xiao Ying attended the Emperor Grade auction, bought Yi Miaoyun to train Tisha, and witnessed the immense wealth of the auction’s grand finale. Back at the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s residence, he reviewed his purchases and decided that establishing an immortal kingdom was his priority, while Yi Miaoyun’s presence complicated his plans to examine the mysterious fragmentary slips.

  • Xiao Ying bid three hundred million immortal crystals to buy the Myriad Wonders Immortal King, Yi Miaoyun, after sensing Tisha’s interest in her.
  • Xiao Ying told Yi Miaoyun to teach Tisha everything she knew, including the Myriad Wonders Transformation Dao Scripture, and promised not to force her into other tasks.
  • Yi Miaoyun accepted Xiao Ying’s terms, vanished from sight, and left him wondering whether he could trust her with his secrets.
  • The Primordial Torch Dragon’s remains sold for eight hundred and seventy million immortal crystals, and the auction’s grand finale featured treasures worth billions.
  • After the auction, Xiao Ying resolved to focus on opening up the wilderness and establishing an immortal kingdom.
  • At the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s residence, Xiao Ying reviewed his remaining wealth and possessions, then decided he could not examine the fragmentary slips while Yi Miaoyun was nearby.

Ch. 1329Chronicle of Evil Shadow

Chapter Summary — Chronicle of Evil Shadow

Key Plot Points and Events

  • Xiao Ying reflects on why he purchased the Myriad Wonders Immortal King for an enormous price. Although the purchase was partly motivated by Shadow Tisha’s desire to become stronger, Xiao Ying also needs a powerful Immortal King to protect and represent his faction. He recognizes that the King’s reputation as a Saint-grade assassin has immense strategic value.
  • He summons Shadow Tisha and Yi Miaoyun, asking for honesty between them. Xiao Ying offers Yi Miaoyun the chance to learn his secrets if she makes a Primordial Spirit Oath, explaining that Tisha already knows everything about him.
  • Rather than reveal more immediately, Xiao Ying sends both women into the inner world of the Heaven-Earth Bell, where Tisha can teach Yi Miaoyun. The restrictive environment and Yi Miaoyun’s growing curiosity are intended to pressure her into eventually requesting further knowledge herself.
  • Xiao Ying consults the Heaven-Earth Bell about the mysterious fragmentary slip he purchased. The Bell identifies its connection to Quiet Night Thoughts, suggesting a link to the legendary Great Dream Immortal Venerable.
  • When the Bell resonates with the slip and Quiet Night Thoughts, Xiao Ying is drawn into an extraordinarily realistic vision—or possible alternate reality—in which he returns to his original life on Earth.
  • He awakens powerless in his former home and encounters Yun Feng during their final separation. Knowing how their relationship originally ended, he refuses to try to stop her and drives her away instead.
  • Xiao Ying then lives through a revised version of his past. He remains poor and struggles emotionally, but avoids the most painful conflicts with Yun Feng and gradually becomes estranged from her.
  • Using his memories of his former life, he turns toward online gaming, builds the Ironblood Empire in Dream Fantasy, and meets figures such as the Phantom Queen and Xiaoyaoyou. After a betrayal, he withdraws into loneliness once again.
  • A new virtual-reality game called Desire appears. Though its setting differs from Forging the Sacred Court, Xiao Ying joins eagerly.
  • In Desire, he becomes Xie Ying, builds a village, survives major historical upheavals, unifies the world, establishes the Evil Martial Empire, and becomes known as the Evil God. His life is later recorded as the Chronicle of Evil Shadow.
  • This alternate life resembles Xiao Ying’s known history in broad outline but differs in setting, companions, relationships, and ultimate development. The chapter ends by questioning which life is real and whether these events are reincarnations, parallel possibilities, or outcomes shaped by different choices.

Character Development

  • Xiao Ying demonstrates strategic calculation and patience. He views the Myriad Wonders Immortal King not merely as a gift to Tisha but as a crucial political and military asset.
  • He remains secretive, carefully controlling how much Yi Miaoyun learns while using the Heaven-Earth Bell and Soul-Control Token to manage her.
  • His encounter with Yun Feng shows emotional growth and detachment. Instead of repeating his desperate attempts to preserve their relationship, he accepts its end and chooses not to be consumed by the same pain.
  • As he relives and alters his past, Xiao Ying becomes increasingly uncertain about identity, memory, reality, and the meaning of fate.
  • Shadow Tisha is portrayed as deeply loyal and grateful to Xiao Ying, sharing an almost instinctive understanding with him.
  • Yi Miaoyun remains cautious and curious. Though constrained, she recognizes Xiao Ying’s extraordinary secrets and is likely to seek further knowledge once the limitations of the Bell’s inner world affect her cultivation.
  • Yun Feng reacts with confusion and hurt when Xiao Ying abruptly rejects her, but ultimately leaves, causing their relationship to become distant rather than bitterly confrontational.

Significant Themes

  • Reality versus illusion: The Bell’s vision is so convincing that Xiao Ying cannot determine whether it is a dream, alternate timeline, reincarnation, or genuine reality.
  • Fate versus choice: Although many events follow familiar patterns, Xiao Ying’s changed decisions produce different relationships and experiences, suggesting that attitude and choice can reshape destiny.
  • Memory and identity: Xiao Ying’s memories of multiple lives challenge his understanding of who he truly is and which version of his history should be considered authentic.
  • Emotional detachment and healing: His treatment of Yun Feng reflects his attempt to overcome old regrets and avoid repeating destructive emotional patterns.
  • Power, secrecy, and trust: Xiao Ying balances intimacy with concealment, revealing that trust in his world must be secured through oaths and controlled disclosures.
  • Parallel lives and inevitability: The similarities between Forging the Sacred Court and Chronicle of Evil Shadow raise the possibility that certain events are inevitable, even when the surrounding circumstances change.

Character Interactions

  • Xiao Ying and Tisha share a close master-servant relationship built on loyalty, gratitude, and mutual understanding.
  • His interaction with Yi Miaoyun is more guarded and transactional. He offers knowledge conditionally while using the Heaven-Earth Bell to control the circumstances of her instruction.
  • The Heaven-Earth Bell acts as an enigmatic guide, communicating only brief clues but triggering the vision through its connection to Quiet Night Thoughts.
  • Xiao Ying and Yun Feng’s final exchange reverses their original dynamic: instead of pleading with her to stay, Xiao Ying coldly tells her to leave, ending their relationship with far less conflict but greater emotional uncertainty.
  • His later relationships and alliances in Dream Fantasy and Desire mirror elements of his former life while developing along substantially different paths, reinforcing the chapter’s central question about coincidence, reincarnation, and alternate destiny.

Ch. 1330Dream Evolution Art

Xiao Ying resolved the conflict between his memories of Xie Ying and Jian Shang, awakened the Dream Inheritance through Quiet Night Thoughts, and learned that it could strengthen his Primordial Spirit through dream reincarnations. He rushed to Wasteland Prefecture for the land-reclamation decision and was greeted by an unexpectedly welcoming Immortal King.

  • Xiao Ying cleaved open heaven and received the Great Expansion Heart Scripture, but its mysteries and his conflicting memories nearly caused him to suffer cultivation deviation.
  • The Heaven-Earth Bell suppressed Xiao Ying's turmoil, and Quiet Night Thoughts activated the Dream Evolution Art, helping him affirm that he was himself rather than Jian Shang or Xie Ying.
  • Xiao Ying realized that Quiet Night Thoughts could let him cultivate his Primordial Spirit through dream reincarnations beyond the limits of his current realm.
  • Xiao Ying emerged from seclusion after only a day and a night had passed, thanked the Heaven-Earth Bell, and set out with Guihai Canglan and the others for Wasteland Prefecture.
  • Xiao Ying summoned the Myriad Wonders Immortal King to escort him so he would reach the land-reclamation decision on time.
  • An extraordinarily handsome Immortal King and several Grand Luo Golden Immortals warmly welcomed Xiao Ying when he arrived at Wasteland Prefecture.

Ch. 1331Making the Most of the Situation

Xiao Ying and the Sky-Supporting Tribe met Immortal King Yumiao at Wasteland Prefecture, where he resolved their misunderstanding and helped them choose supplies for their pioneering effort. As the two became friendly, Yumiao ended by asking Xiao Ying about his relationship with the Battle Immortal King.

  • Immortal King Yumiao welcomed Xiao Ying and the Sky-Supporting Tribe into Wasteland Prefecture and provided their Heaven-Grade Heaven Stele after they paid and signed the contracts.
  • Yumiao explained that the auction-house incident had been caused by his disciple and offered Other Shore Essence, his Immortal King Token, and access to the pioneering catalog to settle their grievances.
  • Xiao Ying accepted Yumiao's gifts, agreed they were friends, and learned that Yumiao's original name was Liu Yulou.
  • Yumiao advised Xiao Ying to buy a Heaven-Grade lower-tier Teleportation Formation, formations for concealment and defense, and weapons to strengthen the tribe's immortal ship.
  • Xiao Ying asked whether he could buy more supplies later, and Yumiao refused before asking about Xiao Ying's relationship with the Battle Immortal King.

Ch. 1332Forbidden Resources

Xiao Ying sold Immortal King Yumiao an Immortal-King Spirit-Infused Puppet and arranged to spend the payment on powerful military defenses. Yumiao struggled to fulfill the order, revealing that the approaching Sea-Beast Storm had left the Wasteland Prefecture with limited stock.

  • Immortal King Yumiao asked Xiao Ying about his relationship with the Battle Immortal King, then admitted his subordinates had obstructed the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s sales and offered the Myriad Wonder Immortal King Token’s protection.
  • Xiao Ying revealed an intact Immortal-King Spirit-Infused Puppet and offered to sell it to Yumiao for 1.5 billion immortal crystals.
  • Yumiao admitted he could immediately provide only six or seven hundred million immortal crystals, so Xiao Ying agreed to spend the available funds on goods from the Wasteland Prefecture.
  • Xiao Ying chose Heaven-Breaking Ballista Fortresses and Heaven-Bombarding Sacred Towers, along with several formations and a Heaven-Grade Heaven Stele.
  • Yumiao calculated that Xiao Ying’s purchase required 165 defensive units, then explained that the prefecture had only recently stocked 100 of each type and would have to transfer nearly half the order from elsewhere.

Ch. 1333Everything Was Ready

Xiao Ying completed a deal with Immortal King Yumiao, acquiring 100 Heaven-Breaking Ballista Fortresses and 65 Heaven-Bombarding Sacred Towers for the Sky-Supporting Tribe. He left Blackwater Island with the war machines and began preparing for the overseas expedition, while Yumiao secretly planned to watch for a chance to reclaim them.

  • Xiao Ying negotiated with Immortal King Yumiao and agreed to buy 100 Heaven-Breaking Ballista Fortresses and 65 Heaven-Bombarding Sacred Towers, signing contracts to legitimize the transaction.
  • Xiao Ying told Immortal King Yumiao a prepared story about the Sky-Supporting Tribe's debt to Black Rock Island and asked about Mysterious Emperor Island; Yumiao shared several lodging locations.
  • After Xiao Ying departed, Immortal King Yumiao ordered his subordinates to watch the tribe and recover the war machines if an opportunity arose.
  • Xiao Ying returned to the Galan Immortal Warship and had Tota Elder Li Jing arrange for the tribespeople to learn how to operate the war machines.
  • The chapter described the weapons' immense power, high operating costs, and limitations, while noting that their numbers would make the Sky-Supporting Tribe difficult to challenge.

Ch. 1334Misty Rain Reborn

Xiao Ying led the Sky-Supporting Tribe away from Blackwater Island, recruited the Blood Xuan Witch King and the Tiangeng Great Witches into the tribe, and revealed his plan to ambush the forces from Mysterious Emperor Island for immortal crystals. The tribe established a hidden base on a coral reef, where Xiao Ying stored the Galan Immortal Warship in the Heaven-Earth Bell, while the Blood Xuan Witch King warned that the enemy might have the Sea Emperor’s support.

  • The Galan Immortal Warship left Blackwater Island because the Sky-Supporting Tribe had run out of immortal crystals and could not pay the docking fees.
  • Xiao Ying told the Blood Xuan Witch King and the two Tiangeng Great Witches that they must join the Sky-Supporting Tribe, accept temporary seals, or leave, because his route across the Demon Abyss Void Sea had to remain secret.
  • Xiao Ying revealed that he intended to ambush the forces from Mysterious Emperor Island, and the Blood Xuan Witch King, Mountain, and Golden Scale formally joined the Sky-Supporting Tribe.
  • The Galan Immortal Warship reached a coral reef base, where the Yan-Yu Mystic Pair thanked Xiao Ying for rebuilding their bodies and were ordered to prepare to lure demonic beasts for a hunt.
  • Xiao Ying deployed three Heaven Grade formations across the reefs and stored the Galan Immortal Warship inside the Heaven-Earth Bell, astonishing the tribespeople.
  • The Blood Xuan Witch King warned Xiao Ying that Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces might have the Sea Emperor’s support, making the planned ambush dangerous and costly.

Ch. 1335An Aside

Chapter Summary: “An Aside”

1. Key Plot Points and Events

  • Huang Tian awakens after apparently transforming into—or nearly becoming—a zombie, but discovers that he remains conscious and physically functional.
  • His strength and energy rapidly recover, suggesting that the mysterious “Azure Rain” or the apocalypse has altered his body.
  • From his window, he observes the devastated city: wrecked vehicles, corpses, debris, blood, and vast numbers of wandering zombies.
  • No living people are visible or audible, leading Huang Tian to fear that he may be the only survivor in the capital.
  • Inside his apartment, he finds the entrance barricaded with furniture, indicating that he instinctively protected himself before losing consciousness.
  • He notices that his balcony plants have undergone extraordinary growth. The Crab Claw Lotus and Dieffenbachia have expanded to several meters in height, nearly blocking the balcony and glass door.
  • Huang Tian concludes that this explosive plant growth is probably connected to the “Azure Rain.”
  • Although despair and suicidal thoughts briefly occur to him, he rejects the idea, reasoning that other survivors may also have barricaded themselves indoors.
  • Covered in foul, black-gray residue, he takes a long shower, washing away the contamination and clearing his mind.

2. Character Development

  • Huang Tian is revealed to have survived a terrifying transformation while retaining his consciousness and humanity.
  • He displays enhanced physical recovery and unusually sharp vision, indicating that he may no longer be entirely human.
  • Despite initially feeling isolated and hopeless, he demonstrates resilience and rational thinking by looking for explanations and assuming that other survivors may exist.
  • His decision not to give in to suicide marks an early reaffirmation of his will to live.
  • The shower provides him with a moment of physical and psychological renewal after his awakening.

3. Significant Themes

  • Survival and hope: Even amid overwhelming devastation, Huang Tian searches for reasons to continue living.
  • Transformation and identity: His question—whether he has become a conscious zombie—introduces uncertainty about what he is now.
  • Nature’s mutation: The abnormal plant growth suggests that the apocalypse has affected not only humans but the entire natural world.
  • Isolation and desolation: The silent, ruined city emphasizes the collapse of civilization and Huang Tian’s apparent loneliness.
  • Rebirth and cleansing: His recovery and prolonged washing symbolically represent emerging from death, contamination, and confusion into a new existence.

4. Character Interactions

  • Huang Tian has no direct interaction with other living characters in this chapter.
  • His main “interactions” are with the zombie-infested city, the mutated plants in his apartment, and the physical effects of his transformation.
  • The absence of human contact strengthens the chapter’s atmosphere of loneliness while leaving open the possibility that other survivors remain hidden.

Ch. 1336Slaughtering the Beast Tide

Xiao Ying prepared the Sky-Supporting Tribe to eliminate Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces and conceal their presence, then used Misty Rain and her sister’s enhanced mermaid abilities to draw in a manageable beast tide. The tribe launched its attack, with Xiao Ying and the powerful warriors slaughtering the incoming beasts.

  • Xiao Ying deployed the Heaven-Supporting Pagoda and explained that the tribe needed to destroy Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces before they could return and threaten its plans to expand.
  • Xiao Ying’s forces activated the Nine Tripods Ten Directions Formation, the Ten-Thousandfold Netherworld Formation, and the Ten Directions Womb-Treasure Heaven-Hiding Formation to seal and conceal the coral reefs.
  • Li Jing reported that preparations were complete, and Xiao Ying ordered Misty Rain and her sister to demonstrate their strengthened mermaid abilities.
  • Misty Rain and her sister sang Sea’s Illusory Melody and Call of the Sea, drawing fish, demonic beasts, and birds from a vast area; Xiao Ying told them to reduce the power and keep the tide manageable.
  • Xiao Ying ordered the tribe to attack and decide whether to deploy its war implements if stronger beasts appeared, then charged into the demonic birds with his Sky-Supporting Witch Body.
  • The Blood Xuan Witch King, the ten Great Witches, and the rest of the tribe attacked alongside Xiao Ying, killing the incoming beasts in great numbers.

Ch. 1337Ambush with Their Backs to the Water

Xiao Ying’s Sky-Supporting Tribe annihilated repeated beast tides and prepared to ambush the forces pursuing them from Mysterious Emperor Island. The ambush began when Young Master Xuan Yun, the Mora Sea Emperor, the Four Ancient Crocodile Kings, and their powerful force appeared, and the tribe activated all three formations.

  • The Sky-Supporting Tribe swiftly slaughtered an enormous beast tide, and Xiao Ying ordered the tribe to collect souls, Demon Cores, and carcasses.
  • For two hours, the Yan-Yu Mystic Pair lured in more beasts while the tribe gathered their remains and concealed its heavy war machines.
  • Xiao Ying warned the Blood Xuan Witch King and the Great Witches to follow orders without hesitation, despite the danger of facing a Sea Emperor.
  • More than a hundred pursuers emerged, led by Young Master Xuan Yun and the Mora Sea Emperor, with the Four Ancient Crocodile Kings and a host of demons behind them.
  • The Yan-Yu Mystic Pair identified the attackers as the tribe members feigned panic, and the tribe activated its three formations around the bloodstained sea.

Ch. 1338A dramatic reversal

The Sky-Supporting Tribe ambushed the people from Mysterious Emperor Island with an overwhelming barrage, badly injuring the Mora Sea Emperor and his companions but failing to kill them. With 165 war engines aimed at the survivors, Xiao Ying turned their failed attack into an opportunity to demand their treasures.

  • The Sky-Supporting Tribe unleashed 53 war engines and a combined assault that shattered the Mora Sea Emperor’s freezing technique and devastated the Mysterious Emperor Island forces.
  • Xiao Ying collected the fallen enemies’ treasures and ordered Guihai Canglan, Li Jing, Misty Rain, and the others to distribute the immortal crystals.
  • The light faded to reveal the Mora Sea Emperor, Young Master Xuan Yun, three Ancient Crocodile Kings, and two peak Great Demons alive but gravely wounded.
  • Xiao Ying accused the survivors of invading the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s hunting grounds, while more than 160 war engines kept them under threat.
  • Xiao Ying demanded their Heaven-Earth Rings and treasures as compensation, openly declaring that the Sky-Supporting Tribe was robbing them.

Ch. 1339Slaying the Sea Emperor

Xiao Ying forced Mora Sea Emperor and the Mysterious Emperor Island group to surrender their Heaven-Earth Rings and the Moro Blade, then used the tribe’s heavy war weapons to annihilate them. With the battlefield being cleared and Mysterious Emperor Island’s remaining forces slated for covert elimination, Xiao Ying turned his attention to crossing the Demon Abyss Void Sea and finding a suitable base.

  • Xiao Ying threatened Mora Sea Emperor and the others with the Sky-Supporting Tribe’s heavy war weapons until they handed over seven Heaven-Earth Rings.
  • At Lan Yan’s reminder, Mora Sea Emperor reluctantly surrendered the Moro Blade, and Xiao Ying collected it in the Heaven-Earth Bell.
  • After Xiao Ying agreed to let them leave, he ordered the 165 heavy war weapons to fire three successive waves at the seven survivors, killing Mora Sea Emperor and the others.
  • Xiao Ying regretted that the bombardment had destroyed most of the valuable spoils, then urged the tribe to collect the remaining treasures and prepare to eliminate Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces on Blackwater Island.
  • While the tribe cleared the battlefield, Xiao Ying considered how to cross the Demon Abyss Void Sea and find a suitable base.

Ch. 1340An insane haul

Xiao Ying and the Sky-Supporting Tribe inspected the spoils from their victory over Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces and debated how the stolen supplies might expose them. When they opened the emperor and kings’ rings, they discovered hundreds of warships and vast stores of food, leaving Xiao Ying with even greater riches to examine.

  • Xiao Ying inspected Young Master Xuan Yun’s Mystic Origin Ring and found rare treasures, pills, weapons, and supplies worth billions of immortal crystals.
  • The Blood Xuan Witch King warned that Mysterious Emperor Island would pursue the lost ring and advised the tribe to stop trading and disappear.
  • Xiao Ying argued that they had to eliminate Mysterious Emperor Island’s forces on Blackwater Island so the tribe’s connection to Misty Rain and Lan Yan would not be exposed.
  • Guihai Canglan reasoned that the ring held only part of a hegemonic faction’s purchases, and Lan Yan confirmed that Mysterious Emperor Island’s three great warships were not stored in it.
  • Xiao Ying let the Myriad Wonders Immortal King choose an item, then opened the Moro Emperor Ring and found hundreds of warships; the four Ancient Crocodile King Rings held enormous stores of food.
