"Mages! They'd rather be foul than stupid, right, Umberlee?" Perfect Baldhead called out cheerfully.

Before he had even finished speaking, towering waves surged up from the sea. Amid a woman's hoarse howls, now so incoherent that no one could make out what she was shouting, they slammed viciously into the magic ship.

Even the oval golden shield generated by the magic ship's powerful defensive array trembled beneath the endless onslaught of long, seaweed hair studded with shells and starfish.

Normally, a remark like that should have meant nothing to Umberlee. What mage didn't throw a couple of similar insults at her upon seeing her?

But she seemed far too irritable.

Apparently, now that the Ocean Goddess had lost her composure, even hearing Baldhead call her name could drive her mad.

"Ah..." Rainfall on the Mortal Realm flew up to inspect how rapidly the defensive array was trembling, then looked down and asked, "How many crystals are left in the power compartment?"

"Half!" A head
