After a long conversation, Russell left behind the giant Felis-shaped ice block he had filled with healing potions and returned to the hall, looking thoughtful.
"Brother Russell?" Carpenter poked her head out from a corner.
Clearly growing a little anxious from waiting, she had gone there to copy books in order to suppress her emotions... Russell had told her that if there was no movement in the secret passage's surveillance array within ten minutes, then there would be no further danger.
After all, not just anyone could find the Chamber of Secrets where Felis was hidden.
Carpenter had originally felt quite reassured... until she realized Russell seemed to be living downstairs.
Of course, she understood what Russell and Felis would be discussing, but compared to those unknown futures, she was more worried about whether Felis could still be saved after taking the medicine.
"He's alive, and he's doing very well. He'll continue to be fine in the future." Russell first gave her something to put her mind at ease.
Just as Carpenter broke into a relieved grin, she suddenly realized something. "He can become an Official Mage?"
"Yes." Russell looked at her with amusement. "If you don't hurry up, your Brother Felis will still be your elder brother."
Carpenter looked completely baffled.
