Lysa lowered her head respectfully, keeping her gaze fixed on the carpet a meter in front of her. "The team led by Archmage Kament Tower will arrive at Sia Tower in three days.
"To express condolences to Archmage Kament Tower, Archmage Rute has requested that any Mage not currently in a meditation chamber should preferably be present to welcome them."
Hilbert blinked. "Kament Tower? What happened?"
"Some Mages rebelled, robbed, and killed several people." Lysa answered swiftly, clearly having received some kind of training. "Although Archmage Kament Tower eliminated most of the rebels, a small number escaped into the Wilds."
"Is Prout dead?" Hilbert asked directly, getting straight to what he cared about most.
"Mage Prout and all his subordinates and family members perished." The corner of Lysa's mouth twitched slightly. "Among his men, some had colluded with the traitors.
"They poisoned their drinking water.
"Of course, the mid- and high-ranking Mages were not poisoned. But when their nearby family members and subordinates suddenly collapsed, they panicked too much and failed to withstand the traitors' sneak attack.
"By the time Archmage Kament Tower rushed over, it was too late. No one was left alive.
"Even their storage rings had been taken.
"According to those nearby, three Eighth-Circle Mages had joined forces to launch the surprise attack. Mage Prout had been completely unable to resist."
Sometimes, Hilbert truly admired how shamelessly these people could lie. If there had been one Eighth-Circle Mage among the attackers, he might have half believed it.
Three Eighth-Circle Mages... That was simply lying through their teeth. They could have established a small Mage Tower out in the world!
Especially since they were clearly wanted criminals... If they could still be judged as targets requiring extermination in this world, one could imagine just how terrifying they were.
