The white-robed mage sneered and spoke. The long whip in his hand instantly transformed into a massive bow, and a long arrow flickering with black light shot toward the Bone Giant at the speed of lightning and thunder.
Yet, to his surprise, the dragon in the clouds did not react at all. It merely tilted its head.
Rosero's beautiful peach-blossom eyes widened abruptly... At some point, a huge gray shield had appeared in the Bone Giant's clawed hands.
Though the tremendous force of the arrow had driven it back over a hundred meters, the Bone Giant remained completely intact.
"Hm? There's someone standing inside that skull?" Aislin, who had been silent behind him all this time, spotted the key detail.
"What..." Only when Rosero looked carefully did he discover something unbelievable within the skull's hollow eye sockets: beside the blazing green soul-fire stood a mysterious figure cloaked entirely in black from head to toe.
It was utterly unbelievable.
Even a mage who had summoned these skeletal undead could not possibly stand so defenselessly beside their soul-fire!
In a flash, Rosero realized something. "A messenger of the River Styx? How could that be?"
"Hehe~" The Black Dragon in the clouds chuckled slyly. "What? Did you think I'd use my own body to shield him? Think again... I'm not that stupid. Did you really think I couldn't tell you were holding a Dragon-Slaying Arrow? Tsk tsk, you crafty little Devil."
Delifus swayed slightly and hesitantly stepped back.
"Is he an idiot?" Carpenter's voice had become somewhat shrill.
