Hill was no fool. How could he possibly use ordinary crystal walls in a Mage Tower with such strong defenses?
He knew that since this world imitated Faerûn, there would definitely be anti-magic weapons. Even if there were few of them, they had to exist.
Hill would never think that having a defensive magic array meant he could rest easy.
Even the sturdiest crystal could not possibly match obsidian's defensive strength.
The crystal windows of the Mage Tower were actually thick panels made by compressing and weaving transparent threads given to Hill by the ancestor of his Crystal Flowers. The material within them was the earth crystals he had obtained during his first contact with Aurelio.
They were far more valuable than obsidian. Even Adamantine Ore of the same size was not worth as much as this window.
When he left this world in the future, Hill would definitely take this entire huge window with him and replace the empty space with obsidian.
Hill looked at the two masked faces, their eyes filled with confusion, and gave them a provocative smile.
Everyone knew this world was connected to the Gods of Faerûn. How could Hill possibly fail to make thorough preparations?
What a pity the Undead's Big Fireballs had not broken through the two Pseudogods' defenses. Their equipment seemed highly resistant to magic, clearly prepared specifically for assassinating Mages.
Unfortunately, Hill had always been cautious and careful. The places that looked weakest were actually the strongest.
Only Hill could open the windows in the Mage Tower. The threads from the Crystal Flowers were like unconscious living creatures. Other than Hill's aura, which could make them move away from the window openings, no one else's touch could sever those threads, which might not even be one-tenth the width of a hair.
