Lynn speared a piece of roasted duck leg, took a cheerful bite, then said with a grin, "These guys still don't understand Elves well enough.
"Elven Mages capable of summoning a Forest Formation... heh, no one in the Elven Forest would dare provoke them.
"They're in a hurry to die."
Hill smiled helplessly. "I hadn't expected them to be in such a rush. The night is still young, yet they dared to charge in.
"While thieves truly aren't encountered much in the Elf Forest,
"every Elf has to seriously learn from childhood how to deal with assassins lurking in the shadows."
Both of them looked up at several highly skilled, bold thieves carefully squeezing through the gaps into the Maze Forest Formation.
Hill had not sealed off the outer perimeter. There was at least twenty centimeters between each tree.
If he intended to fix the Maze Forest Formation in one location, Hill would seal those gaps with thorns and have Killing Vine, Lily, and Windmill Jasmine extend some branches outside.
But in Quelva, he did not need to be so meticulous. Anyone daring to enter was a thief anyway.
Even if Rangers had some hidden issues, they would not make a move now.
Otherwise, if Hill caught them and tossed them next door, even the Forest Daughter would probably purge her own ranks.
The thieves first entered the Maze while invisible, but after wandering for half an hour without finding an exit, they stopped wasting energy hiding in the shadows.
They already knew their invisibility was completely useless in the Maze, though everyone seemed mentally prepared for that.
Setting aside those plants, even a Maze Formation should not have been able to render invisible people ineffective.
They understood that ambushing a Mage who could clearly wield nature would be difficult.
