Usually, they only found out afterward which part had been true.
As the leader of the Flower Fairies, Vera included less falsehood in what she said than any of the others.
That was why Hill dealt only with her and left all Fairy affairs in her hands. Otherwise, he thought his ears would never stop ringing.
Calming the agitated Vera and getting her to spare both him and Lynn took a great deal out of Hill.
