Looking down at the ship's hold beneath the deck, Hill couldn't help clicking his tongue.

The slaves below, male and female alike, had been bound into strange positions. A few particularly beautiful ones had probably caught the Half-Succubus's eye, and she had hung them from iron frames with ropes, presumably to amuse herself by training them.
There were several Elves among them. Hill had just heard one of them cry out in despair.
Hill wasn't actually sure whether they were Half-Elves, but hearing Elvish was enough to give him proper grounds to start a fight.
The port administrator seemed to be hurrying over with his men.
Hill glanced back.
The Red Wizard merchant, who clearly understood when to bend and when to stand tall, bowed deeply to Hill, who was floating in midair. "Honored Archmage, might we have the privilege of doing something for you?"
Hill gave a slight nod. "Untie them."
Then he waved his staff, sending a large fireball apiece at several sailors hiding in the shadows of the corner.
Hill would never bother with some sort of trial to determine whether these people had dark pasts that had forced them to seek refuge under a Half-Succubus. Nor did he care how many bitter hardships they had endured that might warrant giving them another chance to live.
He knew exactly what kind of creature a Half-Succubus was. Anyone who still possessed even a shred of kindness would only have ended up tied to those iron frames.
Hill looked at the people who had been freed.
