Alessio watched the doorway for a while. Once he was sure Liss would not be back soon, he quietly asked Hill, "Did Admiral Gal really go to Mulan with the prince?"
Hill nodded, a little surprised. He could not imagine Corellon's priests failing to discuss it.
Alessio sighed. "Just don't bring it up in front of Liss.
"She has always resented the Moonflower Royal House. When we were driven out, she tried to persuade the queen to have the Elven Royal Fleet wipe out those great nobles.
"But that queen... how should I put it?
"Those great nobles were detestable, but she did not necessarily trust the Royal Fleet either.
"Who knew whether Evermeet would still belong to the Moon Elves afterward?
"The queen turned around and repeated what Liss had said. Otherwise, our family would not have left in such a sorry state. We would at least have had a decent ship. The Garl Family had already begun preparing a magical ship for us. No one expected things to happen so suddenly.
"On the surface, the queen sold out the Garl Family as a concession to the great nobles, hoping to protect her last child. But we came to understand a few things later...
