Dancing Dolphin Bay? That was a famous place in Faerûn!
Despite its name, a community of Sea Elves lived there too. They and the dolphins were the bay's masters.
Many peaceful folk of the Good Alignment also lived along the coast and in the nearby hills. After all, the lawful-good Dolphin Goddess often appeared there in avatar form.
Hill remembered that Dolphin Bay was home not only to dolphins and all kinds of migratory birds, but to many species of whale as well. Purvi would probably like it.
Come to think of it, it was one of the more peaceful places in Faerûn. Even the Northlands under the Gold Dragon and Silver Queen were less quiet. Dolphin Bay offered a place to live, but no chance to strike it rich. Even enjoying life there was difficult; it was just a large village that survived entirely on what it produced for itself.
Even the Evil Alignment would not go out of its way to trouble two deities over a place with nothing to gain.
Dolphin Bay's greatest enemy was Umberlee. She hated the Dolphin Goddess and kept sending her Sharkfolk there to cause trouble.
But Umberlee did not dare face Trishina herself. Though the Dolphin Goddess was gentle and excelled at healing Druid spells, she had a powerful husband: Deep Sashelas, Lord of the World Beneath the Waves.
Deep Sashelas was often distracted by some captivating woman or other, but he loved his wife dearly. Besides, he was the Lord of Dolphins.
So battles at Dolphin Bay played out like farces. Whenever jealousy seized Umberlee, she waited until Deep Sashelas was... well... off having an affair with a beautiful woman, then sent her Sharkfolk to raid the bay.
