But the second wave held more than just those boars. Flying Magical Beasts circled overhead.

The moment they found an opening, they would swoop down, seize their prey, and fly off. That was the main reason no one dared leave the battle formation.

It also showed that the Mercenaries of the Eastern Region Mercenary Alliance did not have much will to fight.

They were Mercenaries by trade, after all. They were here to make money.

They had joined only because the Mercenary Alliance dominated the region. Without it, they could barely earn enough to eat.
