William the kitten sighed, covered his ears with his little paws, and rolled around on the ground, torn over what to do.

He did not dare get too close to the World Serpent, but the World Tree's seed or sapling was probably under the creature's guard.

"What should I do? If I let Odin enter the Godhood Realm right away, that would make quite an impression. Asgard would have nothing left to worry about. But then I'd miss my chance to kill a few people looking to cause me trouble." The gray-and-white kitten flipped to his feet and paced back and forth along a branch.

William clenched his little paws and made up his mind. He leaped into the air, transformed into a pangolin before landing, and immediately dug a hole and burrowed in.

"That's right. What am I afraid of? I'm a man with the Seventy-Two Transformations now. As long as I'm careful, he might not even notice me.
