It wasn't that he couldn't beat them.

a Master Tier Black Leaf Elf approached. Two elves followed, carrying a barely living Professional. The first bowed and said gravely, "Your Highness, we found this Professional on a nearby beach. Judging by his equipment, he appears to be one of yours."
William used Insight. The man wasn't dead, and his soul hadn't completely faded. William immediately fed him a few drops of Water of Life, making the Black Leaf Elf beside him swallow hard.
Then he patted the elf's shoulder. "Thank you. Did you find any other members of the Dawn Fleet, dead or alive?"
"No." The Master Tier elf shook his head. "We only arrived recently. After entering the ruins, we found that Sea Beasts had already carried off most of the bodies."
"Cough, cough..." The Dawn Warrior finally woke. The Black Leaf Elf chose that moment to leave.
