Two months later.
Inside a massive city perpetually engulfed in war, the streets bustled with people. Professionals of every race could be seen everywhere.
"Dark materials clearance sale! Grandmaster Demon teeth, bones, claws, wings—cheap clearance sale!"
"Obsidian! 999 pieces per bundle, wholesale quantities available!"
"Obsidian the size of a fingernail?" Someone sucked in a sharp breath. "You're selling obsidian scraps, aren't you? Only a ghost would buy that."
"Legendary Bloodline Flame Demon cub, going for just 100,000 Gold Coins!"
"Holy shit, you're passing off a Fire Demon as a Flame Demon. You even covered its head with cloth so people can't use Insight. Brother, you've got some moves."
"But where did it get a Legendary Bloodline? Is it that tag hanging around its neck?" Xingfeng Xiaoye pointed at the little fellow bound in iron chains.
The little Fire Demon struggled wildly like a tiny monkey, yet it could not escape the seller's grasp.
Even after being exposed, the unscrupulous Player did not care. He merely laughed. "Fire Demons and Flame Demons look pretty similar. You can tell them apart, but some people can't."
"Ahem, brother, you probably can't sell that thing anymore. How about I give you 3,000 Gold Coins for the Fire Demon cub?"
"Really?" The crooked merchant sucked in a breath. He had bought this little Fire Demon from another Player for a full 1,000 Gold Coins.
Mm.
He had misjudged it. This thing had originally been worthless. It had no value in raising it, could not be used as a pet, and even 100 Gold Coins would have been too much.
Yet he had mistaken it for a Flame Demon at the time...
"So, are you selling or not? If not, I'm leaving." Xingfeng Xiaoye curled his lip.
"Selling!" I'd make a profit of 2,000 Gold Coins.
