Ch. 801"Join the Shadow Society and Offer Your Loyalty to Lord Madara" (3)
Chapter Summary
- Kentaro confronts the witch hunters and Greek Ministry representatives. After the Shadow Guards complete their formation, Kentaro openly mocks the Greek Ministry of Magic and its internal politics. Two pure-blood representatives from Aqion Academy attempt to distance themselves from the conflict, claiming the Ministry should handle the matter, but Kentaro intimidates them with his cold demeanor and Sharingan.
- Kentaro defeats the witch hunter leader’s sneak attack. The leader secretly attempts a silent spell from behind, but Kentaro stops the attack midair through his ocular powers. Using the Sharingan, Kentaro incapacitates and humiliates him, criticizing his technique while emphasizing the gap in their strength.
- The Ministry official submits out of fear. The Greek official avoids looking directly at Kentaro’s Sharingan, clearly aware of the Uchiha reputation. Rather than intervene, he adopts a passive, self-protective stance and later uses magic-isolating glasses to observe the battle without meeting Kentaro’s gaze.
- Kentaro casts a powerful illusion. When the witch hunter leader remains defiant and orders his allies to attack, Kentaro activates Demonic Illusion: Hell Viewing Technique. His One-Tomoe Sharingan overwhelms most of the hunters, freezing their movements and taking control of their minds.
- The witch hunters turn on one another. Under the illusion, the hunters perceive horrifying threats and attack their own companions:
- One casts an exceptionally destructive Fiendfyre Curse, killing himself and severely injuring another hunter.
- Another uses Transfiguration to build a crude stone barricade in terror.
- A third pins down and slashes a fellow hunter’s throat with a spell-breaking dagger.
The alley becomes a chaotic, gruesome scene resembling hell, while previously bound prisoners remain helpless.
- The leader escapes. The witch hunter leader is protected by a magical prosthetic eye containing a defensive spell, which briefly shields him from the illusion. The Sharingan overloads the eye, forcing him to tear it out. He then creates a spatial tunnel and attempts to flee through Apparition, cursing the Ministry and the Uchiha as he escapes. His final words suggest the conflict is not over.
Character Developments and Interactions
- Kentaro is portrayed as overwhelmingly confident, cruel, and in complete control. He treats the enemy’s resistance as entertainment and demonstrates both physical dominance and terrifying psychological power.
- The witch hunter leader shifts from arrogant defiance to desperate survival. His hidden prosthetic eye reveals preparation and resourcefulness, but even that defense cannot withstand Kentaro’s Sharingan.
- The Greek Ministry official is cowardly and pragmatic. He recognizes Kentaro’s danger immediately, avoids confrontation, and prioritizes protecting himself over assisting either side.
- The Aqion Academy representatives attempt political maneuvering and neutrality, but Kentaro’s contempt exposes their lack of real authority.
- The witch hunters lose all unity once trapped in the illusion, illustrating how quickly their apparent strength collapses under supernatural mental control.
Significant Themes
- Power and intimidation: Kentaro’s authority comes not only from combat ability but from the fear surrounding the Uchiha and the Sharingan.
- Psychological warfare: The illusion defeats the witch hunters by turning their own minds against them rather than through a conventional battle.
- Political cowardice and opportunism: The Ministry and academy representatives attempt to avoid responsibility and shift blame instead of acting decisively.
- The fragility of loyalty: Once subjected to Kentaro’s power, the hunters immediately attack one another, suggesting their alliance is based on self-interest rather than genuine trust.
- Violence as spectacle: Kentaro observes the destruction with detached amusement, reinforcing his ruthless nature and the chapter’s increasingly hellish atmosphere.
