Taking advantage of a brief respite after dealing with the Aberrant Forms, Si Jinyan asked Chi Li, "Where are you now?"

Chi Li had reported to Si Jinyan not long ago, but he repeated the location and added, "We haven't gone far. There are too many injured, so we're moving slowly."

Chi Li continued, "Rescue teams came and took some people away. They've probably gone to deal with the Aberrant Forms too. There aren't enough hands. Once we get these people over there, I'll come find you."

Si Jinyan simply wanted to hear Chi Li's voice. He wanted to talk to Chi Li; it did not matter what they talked about.

Aberrant Forms surrounded him, too many to kill. Si Jinyan realized how serious the situation was. Over the past few years, who knew how many Aberrant Forms Yao Di had secretly cultivated? Even if there were not thousands, there had to be several hundred. Their abilities varied in strength, but every one of them was exceptionally troublesome.

Si Jinyan had killed over a hundred of them. Dark patterns faintly stirred beneath his skin, while a pale gold emerged at the center of his pupils.

"Are you tired?" Si Jinyan asked again between breaths. "Are you hurt?"

Si Jinyan had asked that question before.

Hearing the panting through his earpiece, along with the occasional unclear roar of monsters, Chi Li patiently replied, "I'm not tired. I'm not hurt. Is it troublesome over there?"

"Not troublesome, but it'll take some time." Si Jinyan raised his head. His vision was swallowed by a sea of black, and the monsters' roars came without end.

He thought that the more Aberrant Forms headed this way, the safer Chi Li would be over there.
