After Si Jinyan left, Chi Li remained in the first-floor living room.
With no communication devices, Chi Li had even less hope of opening the first-floor door and leaving. Not wanting to interact with Si Jinyan at the moment, he sat on the sofa in the first-floor hall.
After sitting there for a while, the master bedroom door opened. Chi Li did not look up. A moment later, he heard another door close, and only then did he raise his head. The sound had come from the room beside the master bedroom. Si Jinyan had entered that room.
Chi Li sat for a while longer, then suddenly felt a little cold. The hall window was open. It was already nearing winter here, while the place Chi Li had previously been had entered spring.

It seemed that only the master bedroom in the villa had been prepared for living. Chi Li returned to the bedroom, but even as midnight approached, Si Jinyan did not return.
The strange chains that restricted his movements never appeared on Chi Li's wrists again. He could move freely throughout the villa, and he
