Mewtwo, Pi!

Mewtwo was perhaps one of the three Pokémon that had broken most into the mainstream throughout the entire Pokémon franchise.

The other two went without saying: Pikachu and Charizard.

Though Mewtwo's immense popularity owed something to being the starring Pokémon of the first movie, Mewtwo Strikes Back, it had plenty of merits of its own.

There was the awe of an artificial Legendary Pokémon, as well as the reflection on genetic cloning technology.

There was more than one version of who had created it. In Mewtwo Strikes Back, its creator was Dr. Fuji, while in the special manga, its creator was Blaine, the leader of Cinnabar Gym.

Yet no matter the version, after Mewtwo was created, it had not submitted to Team Rocket. It had chosen to resist.

Clearly, the current situation was Team Rocket pursuing the rebellious Mewtwo after it had fled to the Donghuang Region.

But why had it come to Donghuang?

Xia Chen pondered it briefly, then quickly shook his head.

That was not really a question at all. If it had fled to Hoenn or Sinnoh, he would have wondered why it had gone there too.
