Final Thoughts

No final thoughts, only shame!

I dragged this out for a very, very long time. Around the New Year, I even considered dropping it. After a long internal struggle, though, I still wanted to write the words "The End" for this book no matter what.

Even though this ending could not satisfy most people, myself included.

That was why I had no face to charge for the ending. As for charging for the final chapter, I just felt that ending it for free would be a little... awkward.

Lastly, I wanted to post the final thoughts I had prepared back then. In truth, most of the emotions in them were exactly what I was experiencing now.

I'm sorry to every reader who followed this story to the end. Fruit Juice is bowing down to apologize to you all.

I didn't abandon it because of poor results. In fact, I hadn't looked at data like follow-up reads or subscriptions for more than half a year.

It was because, at some point, writing became a daily torment. If I had to struggle to grind out four thousand words that even I could barely stand to read, how could I possibly satisfy the readers?

I was someone who had abandoned a story before. I desperately, desperately wanted to properly finish one, to "redeem" myself, and I had always looked forward to the satisfaction of writing those three words: "The End."

But I probably couldn't do that with this book either.

Before apologizing to everyone else, the person I owed the biggest apology to was probably the ambitious version of myself from before I started this book.

As for why it had fallen into such a "bad end," I had been constantly thinking about that question during those tortured breaks from writing.
