Background

Ye Guyi was a lone young Soul Master pursued by Evil Soul Masters of the Holy Spirit Cult. The people who had protected and cared for her were killed during the pursuit, leaving her injured, isolated, and convinced that anyone close to her would be endangered. Rather than surrender, she resolved to grow strong enough to avenge them. 13 14

When she attempted a suicidal counterattack against the cultists, Huo Yuhao intervened and eradicated her pursuers. He later used Tianmeng Healing to remove the lingering undead soul power from her body. Their shared experience as orphans allowed him to break through her guardedness; she revealed her name, cultivation, and Holy Angel Martial Soul before asking to travel with him. 14 15

During their journey, Ye Guyi became increasingly reliant on Huo Yuhao's judgment while also developing affection for him. She accompanied him through Star Luo City and the Undead Demi-Plane, where she witnessed more of his hidden powers and inheritance. 16 18

After reaching rank 40, Ye Guyi was selected by the Angel God as the successor to the Angel Godhood. She accepted nine divine trials intended to restore the suppressed Angel Lineage and eventually revive the Angel Clan. 20
