Conquest took the transfer order in hand.
His one remaining eye swept over Sparta's signature, and the corner of his mouth lifted. It was no friendly smile. A hunger for battle that had lain dormant for ages was waking.
"Five hundred thousand will do. Even if every one of them just came out of the Recruit Company, they'll be more than enough to give that ragtag outfit calling itself the 'Unifiers' a beating."
Sparta did not smile. He knew exactly what five hundred thousand Viltrumite Warriors meant.
There was no point discussing who would win this campaign. Any intelligent being would know that victory for the Viltrumite Empire was inevitable.
Since the fall of the Anti-Vitrum Alliance, no single civilization in the known universe could stand against an army of five hundred thousand Viltrumites.
The Unifiers Federation was also a coalition of multiple civilizations, but it was nowhere near the level of that long-dead predecessor.
Calling this a war was generous. The five hundred thousand troops might as well have been going on vacation to see something new. Wiping out the Federation would just be something they did along the way.
Conquest accepted the order and left the Marshal's office of his own accord. He headed to military headquarters to pick out some capable fighters and prepare for the coming campaign.
