Uchiha Gen tossed aside the two little hands clinging to him, got up, and seemingly by magic rubbed together two sets of blankets, wrapping Azumi up tightly.
"Taking advantage of me? Dream on."
Outside, the night was dark and the wind was strong—the perfect time to do bad things. Uchiha Gen did not need sleep, so after setting up a barrier around the room, he left.
The research institute he had visited last time had only been a branch base. As a result, he had not seen any Cyborgs inside. Either the two groups from Root that had come before were not from the same organization.
But that did not seem very likely. If Azumi's information were that easy to spread, they would not be secretly sending people after her—they would have directly deployed the military.
"What kind of ability could be so attractive?"
"Technology is already this advanced, and above them stand the omnipotent Ōtsutsuki."
The more mysterious something was, the more alluring it became. Uchiha Gen only found this whole matter increasingly interesting.
Normally, any ability could be analyzed to some extent through the blood. Even cloning could reproduce the ability. Yet the people at these Biological Research Institutes had not done that.
In other words, the requirements for copying Azumi's ability were extremely demanding. Simply cloning her bloodline could not meet them.
"Could it be bound to the soul? If so, then perhaps I'm the only person in this world who can replicate it."
The more he used that Toad-man's ability, the more terrifying he found it. If he had not devoured it, or if someone else had beaten him to it, he would have regretted it to death.
As he pondered, his perception had already located the research institute's base. Uchiha Gen did not waste time
