A Conversation with Kingpin

After gathering the Dragon Bone fragments from the ground, Lin Hai went to the Stone Prison's door. He glanced back at the massive Dragon Bone bathed in faint golden light, then did not linger any longer. Turning around, he stepped out of the Stone Prison.

In the underground space outside the Stone Prison, Lin Hai immediately spotted Kingpin standing before the door. However, Kingpin's face was clearly filled with confusion and puzzlement.

When he saw Lin Hai emerge, Kingpin immediately approached him. Pointing at the golden door Lin Hai had casually shut behind him, he voiced his doubt. "Doctor Lin, I saw you push the door open and go inside, so I wanted to follow and take a look. But to my surprise, I couldn't move this door at all!"

He spread his enormous palms, which were strong enough to crush steel. "Could there be some kind of magic placed even on the door here?"

Indeed, given Kingpin's superhuman physique, let alone this door, he was confident he could force open an even larger, thicker, heavier one.

But the reality was that even after using all his strength, the golden door had remained utterly motionless. Such a strange phenomenon was obviously not normal, so he naturally thought of the miraculous magic Lin Hai had repeatedly displayed before him.

After hearing Kingpin out, Lin Hai shook his head and explained with a smile, "Mr. Wilson, the protection on this door is not the kind of magic that Gwen and I use. It is a defensive mechanism formed from another equally miraculous supernatural power. That is why you cannot push it open through brute strength alone."

"Moreover, even if you somehow managed to forcibly destroy the door, you most likely still would not be able to reach that Dragon Bone."
