In the round pit, Lin Hai, who had already experienced lifting Mjolnir, was ready to say goodbye. He said to Coulson, "Agent Coulson, we plan to go to the nearby town to have a look."

Lin Hai pointed to the pit. "Since this is a hammer, there must be someone who uses it. Let's go to the nearby Puente Antiguo town. Maybe there will be other unexpected gains."

Coulson nodded. His mission was to set up a temporary camp here and use scientific methods to test this magical hammer. Lin Hai They really couldn't help here, so it would be a good idea to go to town and have a look.

"Wait a moment." Coulson said, taking out a bunch of keys from his pocket and handing them to Lin Hai, "You may need this."

He pointed to a row of black vehicles parked not far away. "It's about fifty miles from here to the town, and it takes an hour or two to drive. You can't walk there."

Lin Hai took the key, and he did not refuse Coulson's kindness. Although he could go directly with Portal, it was also a good experience to drive around in the desert and see the scenery along the way.

"Thanks." he said.

Seeing Lin Hai accept the key, Coulson added, "Just in time, I'm going to find someone in the nearby town. His name is Erik Selvig, and he is an astrophysicist. I believe that the data he left in the past two days will be helpful for us to study last night's abnormal celestial phenomenon and this magical hammer."

Lin Hai nodded. "Then let's set off."

Puente Antiguo, a typical New Mexico desert town.

The street is not wide, with low bungalows on both sides, and faded advertisements painted on the walls. Occasionally, a few cars pass by, raising a cloud of dust. There are some people sitting in a small restaurant on the roadside, drinking coffee slowly and looking at everything outside the window.

S.H.I.E.L.D.'s motorcade was very conspicuous in the town. Several black cars and vans drove in, led by Coulson, and headed straight to Dr. Selvig's studio.

It was a two-story building with a strange-looking van parked outside.

Arriving at the destination, Coulson got out of the car and waved, and the agents began to take action. Some began to sort out the instruments and equipment, some looked through notebooks, and some used cameras to take pictures of the charts on the wall.

Several agents quickly opened the door of the black van and began to move things from the studio to the vehicle.

Lin Hai The four of them stood aside and watched all this.

Peter came over and lowered his voice and said, "Hey, guys, I know S.H.I.E.L.D. is a very powerful spy organization, but isn't this behavior a bit too overbearing?"

Lin Hai looked at the busy agents and lowered his voice and replied, "This is not bad, because the leader is Coulson, and he is not bad. If it were to be replaced by someone else, maybe everything in the studio would have to be moved away, such as Director Nick Fury."

Peter's expression was a little complicated. "Ah? Although I understand that they are doing this for national security, I still don't agree."

Harry shrugged. "So you are New York's Friendly Neighbor Peter Parker, and they are agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.."

Peter thought about it and felt that this seemed to make sense, but something seemed wrong.

Just as everyone was chatting quietly, there was suddenly a rush of footsteps at the door of the studio, and three people, two women and one man, rushed in almost at the same time.

The leader was a young woman with long brown hair. She jogged into the studio and shouted loudly, "What's going on?!"

Coulson was directing his men to pack the boxes. When he heard the voice, he stepped forward to meet him, his expression still gentle. "Ms. Foster, I am Agent Coulson of S.H.I.E.L.D.."

Jane Foster had never heard of S.H.I.E.L.D.. She looked at the instruments and equipment that had been moved out of her studio, and her anger surged upwards.

"What's the use of all this?" She glared at Coulson, "You can't do this!"

Erik Selvig who was following behind quickly stepped forward and took Jane's arm. He was older and more experienced. He had heard of S.H.I.E.L.D.'s name.

"Jane!" Selvig took Jane's arm and said in a low voice, "This is more serious than you think. Let them go."

But Jane couldn't listen at all.

"Let them go?" She shook off Selvig's hand and pointed at the instruments being moved away, "These things are my life!"

Coulson stood aside, his expression still gentle, not changed at all by Jane's attitude.

"Ms. Foster." He explained, "We are investigating a security threat and need to access your records and atmospheric observation data."

"Calling? Are you stealing?" Jane's voice became louder.

Coulson took out a piece of paper from the inner pocket of his suit and handed it over. "Here, this should compensate for the trouble it has caused you."

Jane took the piece of paper and looked down - it was a check.

She glanced at the numbers above, then raised her head, her attitude still not softening. "But there is no replacement equipment available in the store. Most of these equipment are made by ourselves!"

Jian argued with reason, but S.H.I.E.L.D. obviously would not change the action plan just because of her objection. Coulson nodded to the agents behind him and motioned for them to continue.

Jane stood there, watching the equipment that had been with her for many years being transported away one by one, and her heart was filled with congestion.

A few minutes later, Coulson and the agents left with the instruments, data, and even the notebook in Jane's hand found in the studio.

Jane stood at the door, looking at the direction of the convoy's retreat. The expression on her face changed from anger to unwillingness, and from unwillingness to powerlessness.

Selvig stood behind her, with a look of helplessness on his face. The studio could be said to have been almost emptied out, but he knew that it was useless to reason with an organization like S.H.I.E.L.D.; intern Daisy stood aside, watching all this at a loss, not knowing what to say.

The three of them just stood at the door, looking at the dust rising in the distance, without speaking for a long time.

At this moment, a voice sounded from behind them, "Hello Jane Ms. Foster, Professor Erik Selvig, Miss Daisy Lewis."

The three of them turned around and saw four young people standing aside. The leader was an Asian with black hair and black eyes, with a gentle smile on his handsome face that made it difficult for people to feel disgusted.

Their clothing was completely different from the agents just now, and they looked like tourists on a trip.

Jane was stunned for a moment and looked at them with doubtful eyes. "Who are you?"

Daisy reacted first. She had just seen these four people standing aside, keeping a close distance from the agents, but the agents seemed to know them and did not act to drive them away.

"They were here just now." Daisy pointed at the four Lin Hai and said, "Those agents seemed to know them and did not drive them away."

Upon hearing this, Jane's eyes changed, and the anger that had just been extinguished showed signs of rekindling.

Gwen noticed her emotional change, stepped forward and said in a gentle tone, "Ms. Foster, although we know the people from S.H.I.E.L.D., they can't control us, and we can't control them."

She looked at Jane sincerely. "We are deeply sorry for what happened to you."

Jane's expression relaxed a little, but she still didn't completely let down her guard.

Gwen continued, "If you are willing to give us a list, we may be able to help you return your instruments and data to you after S.H.I.E.L.D. has used them."

Jane looked at the blond girl in front of her, and then at the three young people behind her. Their expressions were all sincere, and they didn't seem to be perfunctory with her.

"... Can you get it back?" she asked, with uncertainty in her voice.

Lin Hai nodded. "Yes. Although we can't interfere with S.H.I.E.L.D.'s work, we can still do it after they have used up your things and return them to their original owners."
