"Boss, why didn't you let me kill that vixen? Do you like her?"

Inside the Batwing, 2B looked at Loren with a hint of curiosity, unable to understand why he had done that.

Loren broke out in a cold sweat at her words. 2B really was learning more and more. She was going to be hard to fool in the future!

"What are you talking about? How could I possibly like a woman I'd only met once? If you said I'd fallen for her, that might be somewhat possible."

"Isn't 'like' and 'fallen for' the same thing?" 2B tilted her head, her eyes filled with confusion.

"Of course they're different. Though there's only one word between them, their meanings are worlds apart." Loren shook his head mysteriously.

"You need to know that, besides indicating direction, the word 'up' can also be a verb."

"A verb? 2B doesn't understand."

"It's fine. Not understanding means you haven't been corrupted by this world yet. That's a good thing."

"Anyway, you just need to know that I don't like her. I only like my 2B."

As Loren spoke, he gently caressed 2B's cheek, instantly making her blush.

"Really?"

"Of course. It couldn't be any truer."

Just then, a system notification suddenly rang out in Loren's mind.

After all, Adamantium was no ordinary substance. It was one of the four great metals of the Marvel Universe, an extremely precious material.

The so-called four great metals were Vibranium, Uru, Adamantium, and Carbonadium.

Among them, Vibranium and Uru were naturally occurring metals—at least in the Marvel Universe Loren knew.

Vibranium was primarily produced in the technologically advanced Wakanda. It was one of the hardest metals in the Marvel Universe. Its molecular structure was relatively static, and it barely conducted heat or kinetic energy.

This allowed it to absorb heat and kinetic energy exceptionally well. That quality made it extraordinarily durable and nearly indestructible.

Captain America's shield and Black Panther's suit were both made from Vibranium.

If Vibranium was a super metal with its defense stat maxed out, then Uru had its magical properties maxed out.

Uru was a mysterious metal from Asgard. It could store and release energy and was especially sensitive to magical energy.

That made it an excellent material for forging magical weapons. Thor's hammer and Odin's Gungnir were both forged from Uru.

Uru's spiritual nature and ability to recognize an owner made it outstanding in magical applications, greatly enhancing its wielder's power.

In the Marvel Universe, its status was no weaker than Vibranium's.

Aside from those two naturally formed super metals, Adamantium and Carbonadium were, as their names implied, synthetic metals.

Yet despite being synthetic, they possessed absurd properties no less extraordinary than the first two.

First came Carbonadium, an imitation of Adamantium.

Though it was not as hard as Adamantium, it had better plasticity and ductility.

In addition, Carbonadium was radioactive and could suppress healing factors, making it commonly used in weapons and equipment.

Deadpool's twin blades were made from Carbonadium. They were also among his few effective weapons against Wolverine.

And speaking of Wolverine, one had to mention the most famous of the four great metals: Adamantium.

Adamantium was an alloy created by mixing Vibranium with other unknown metals, yet it possessed greater hardness and strength than Vibranium.

It would not melt even at temperatures of 500,000 degrees Celsius and could be said to be virtually indestructible.

The skeleton and claws of Wolverine, the Marvel Universe's most famous mutant, were coated in Adamantium.

That was precisely why Wolverine had become an immortal existence whose physical capabilities were nearly invincible.

Because of Adamantium's extreme hardness and complex chemical composition, it was incredibly difficult to manufacture, and once formed, its shape could not be altered.

As far as he knew, no one in this world currently knew Adamantium's true formula anymore.

In other words, in this Marvel Universe where he currently was, he was the only person who knew how to forge Adamantium.

How could he not be excited?

This was an incomparably valuable fortune!

With this formula, he could forge more suitable weapons and armor for Miss 2B and himself.

Just imagine it: if the katana in 2B's hand today had been forged from Adamantium—

So, he could only think of another way.

While Loren was still in the laboratory pondering how to get Vibranium, Nick Fury at S.H.I.E.L.D. was consumed by rage.

"What? Pierce is dead!"

"Fuck! Didn't I say you had to ensure Pierce's safety? Why didn't you do it?"

"Reporting, sir, we didn't want this either, but Batman's methods were simply too ruthless."

"Yeah! He clearly saw us, yet he showed no intention of holding back. Instead, he deliberately killed Pierce right in front of us."

"He deliberately killed Pierce in front of you? In other words, he was intentionally provoking us!"

Hearing Hawkeye's words, Nick Fury's face darkened immensely.

He had seen arrogant people before, but never anyone this arrogant.

This was like grinding the face of the director of S.H.I.E.L.D. into the dirt!

"Yes. He was provoking us."

"I understand. I'll make him pay for this. Coulson, search the entire internet for Batman. We have to find him."

"Understood!" Coulson nodded, his expression equally unpleasant.

Nick Fury then shifted his gaze to Natasha before abruptly changing the subject.

"Natasha, there's news about the big green guy."

"Did you find Banner?"

"Yes. According to the intelligence we received, he's in Brazil."

"Understood. I'll head to Brazil immediately and make sure to bring him back."

"Mm. Hulk may be the greatest weapon we have against that damned Batman!"

"Understood. I'll complete the mission."
