Over at the gambling table, Tsunade had lost everything except her last chip.
"One last round!" She gritted her teeth and shoved all her chips onto the table. "All in!"
Mei Terumi raised a brow. "Tsunade, are you sure?"
"I'm sure!"
"Then I'll call." Mei Terumi pushed forward the same number of chips.
2B, who had volunteered to be the dealer, expressionlessly turned over the cards.
Tsunade held her breath and stared at her cards...
Then her expression shifted from anticipation to shock, from shock to despair, and from despair to... a strange, tranquil calm.
"I lost again." She slumped in her chair and stared at the ceiling, her voice terrifyingly calm. "Eighteen rounds."
Mei Terumi smiled as she gathered up the chips. "Thanks for letting me win."
"Tsunade..." Marie Rose carefully handed her a cup of tea. "Would you like to take a break?"
"A break?" Tsunade abruptly sat up, fire blazing in her eyes once more. "No! I need to win it back! Marie, lend me some money!"
Marie Rose clutched her little wallet tightly. "Tsunade... you already owe me a lot..."
"Tifa!" Tsunade turned to the fighter.
Tifa smiled and shook her head. "Tsunade, gambling is bad."
"Hinata!"
"L-Lady Tsunade... I-I need my money..." Hinata refused softly, her face flushed.
"Mai!"
Mai Shiranui had already hidden behind Tifa, poking out half her head. "Tsunade, I lost everything too..."
Tsunade looked around and realized everyone was avoiding her gaze. Only Hancock remained.
But Hancock had lost as well. Her face was livid as she stared at the empty chip box before her, as if considering whether to use Conqueror's Haki to threaten Mei Terumi into returning her money.
"Sigh..." Tsunade let out a long sigh and collapsed facedown onto the table. "My life..."
"Gambling again?"
A calm voice
