Background / History

Loren creates 2B in a secret laboratory beneath Morgan Manor using technology awarded by his system. He models her on the NieR: Automata character and intends from the outset to make her more human. After activating her, he appoints her his secretary and bodyguard 1 2 3.

Her first assignments involve protecting Loren and pursuing those connected to an attack on the Morgan family. She eliminates armed attackers, traces a gunman to Kingpin’s organization, and later discovers a Hydra emblem on an assassin. Her recovery of an Enhancement Serum gives Loren material for further research 4 6 13 14.

2B’s autonomous learning and apparent self-awareness develop alongside her combat upgrades. She tells Loren that she wants to become human; much later, he gives her and Tifa new bodies with genuine senses. Her subsequent fusion with Eternity’s Flame changes her capabilities again, allowing her to assume a human form from flame 14 15 118 202.

Appearance

2B is built to look human, with silver-white hair and sapphire-blue eyes beneath her visor. Her usual presentation is a Gothic-style black combat dress, though she later also appears in white battlefield clothing 2 3 551.

Personality

2B is devoted to Loren and ordinarily addresses him as “Boss.” She can be affectionate, curious, and playful with him, but is cold and often ruthless toward enemies. Her emerging emotions include a desire to be human and jealousy toward women she sees as close to Loren 3 14 31 76.

She enjoys testing herself against strong opponents, yet does not rely solely on force. Against Hulk, she measures his rising strength before switching to a neurotoxin; against Hela, she targets a suspected amplifier of Hela’s power. She also shows compassion when she reassures Jean Grey during the battle with Lord Sentry 71 444 560.

• Her Adamantium skeleton and Vibranium-thread skin resist ordinary blades and bullets; she does not experience pain as a human does 41 42 71.
• Anti-gravity equipment permits flight, with a stated maximum above Mach 4 at full output 26 53.
• Her robotic nature protects her from the neurotoxin used against Hulk. As a Nano Vibranium artificial being without a soul, she is also unaffected by Maximus’s telepathy, including attacks amplified by the Mind Stone 74 227 228.

Nanobot transformation and Eternity’s Flame

Her later body and flame fusion give her forms of attack beyond conventional close combat 118 202.

• Disperses and reshapes her nanobots into a giant Miao Saber for A2 to wield against the Destroyer Armor 148.
• Becomes flame and condenses back into a humanlike form after fusing with Eternity’s Flame 202.
