He jumped down.
From the second-floor corridor to the ground was a drop of roughly eight meters. Without any attempt to cushion his fall, he came straight down.
His feet slammed into the concrete floor, gouging out two half-meter-wide craters and sending fragments flying in every direction.
Tony slid backward just before he landed, avoiding the flying debris, but the Skrull was faster than he had anticipated.
Two of its four dark crimson arms swung at him simultaneously.
Tony activated his armor's thrusters and retreated rapidly.
At the same time, the miniature missile launchers on his shoulders opened, and two missiles trailing white smoke shot toward the Skrull's face.
The Skrull did not dodge. It blocked the missiles with its third arm. They exploded against its arm, flames and smoke swallowing its upper body.
When the smoke cleared, the Skrull was still standing where it had been. Its arm bore a few scorch marks, but that was all.
"Your missiles use high-explosive warheads. The explosion reaches approximately three thousand degrees Celsius," the Skrull said.
"My skin has a heat resistance limit of five thousand degrees Celsius. Your weapons are ineffective against me, Tony."
Tony did not respond.
He was moving, streaking through the factory at supersonic speed.
From the ground to the walls, from the walls to the ceiling, from the ceiling back to the ground—his trajectory was impossible to predict.
His Palm Cannons and missiles fired in alternating bursts, attacking every part of the Skrull that looked like it might be a weakness from every possible angle.
Like an enraged hornet, he circled the Skrull at high speed, every attack striking its target with precision.
But the Skrull remained in place, barely moving.
It blocked most of the attacks with its arms and took the rest with its body.
