Xavier Community College.
"Are you really okay?"
Johnny Blaze looked at Hank with some concern as Hank, carrying a suitcase, said farewell to everyone at the community entrance alongside "Thunder" Chris Bradley.
The two of them had decided to meet up with Fury and take part in the upcoming trip to Inverness.
"My injuries healed completely a long time ago. Don't worry, they won't affect my fighting." Hank smiled at the others. "Wait for my good news. I'll bring Remy and the others back."
"I believe you can do it, Hank."
Scott, holding his daughter nearby, spoke up.
With the destructive energy that had been lurking in his mind and threatening to erupt at any moment completely soothed by Jean's Phoenix Energy, Scott's burden had finally eased.
Though he still could not recover his combat ability, at least there was hope now.
"Going off to fight?"
Johnny muttered to himself, hesitating over whether he should follow them.
It had truly been far too long since he last erupted. Once he turned into "that form," he could indeed gain tremendous power, but he could not bear the price...
[Johnny...]
Just then, a voice slowly sounded in Johnny's mind.
Johnny's expression changed.
Meanwhile, beneath the shadows of the warehouse, "Toad" Mortimer crouched in an inconspicuous corner, coldly watching Hank and the other man leave without saying a word.
He had no intention of joining the coming battle. First, he did not like that black bald man called "Nick Fury," and second, he knew his own strength was nothing special.
No matter how he looked at it, an ordinary Mutant like him had no need, and no right, to involve himself in human affairs.
"Mr. Hank, are you leaving?"
At that moment, a burst of footsteps suddenly came from outside the community.
