"Evacuate everyone! Now!"
As the fighter craft raced closer on the horizon, Jentorra abandoned any thought of dealing with Miles and the others and gave the order on instinct.
She knew the camp's survival hung in the balance.
"Get the ship started!"
"We'll hold them off! Everyone else, get out of here!"
The camp went from high alert to outright rout in an instant.
The rock giant stopped pounding its chest and clumsily stuffed metal wreckage into a basket on its back. The spore sacs atop the mushroom creatures' heads dimmed as they hurried after the crowd. Even Webu, the gelatinous creature, slithered back to Quaz's side.
As the crowd evacuated, Miles looked up at the approaching fighter craft. He gave a cold snort and touched two fingers to his temple.
His psychic power surged. Invisible senses spread into the distance and swiftly locked onto the enemy craft.
Then Miles realized something was wrong.
His mental power reached the craft, but what came back was not the familiar electronic signals. It was a chaotic, violent quantum fog with no logic to it.
Miles had no way in. Invasion and control were out of the question.
This was technology he could not begin to understand.
"Aurora, get ready to fight!"
Miles called out the warning.
Rustle...
Almost at once, a silver-white figure materialized beside him.
Aurora appeared out of thin air in her Dawn Armor. She, too, looked up at the sky, her voice grave. "Miles, you can't control those things either?"
"No. They use an unstable quantum signal. My power doesn't work on it!" Shock showed on Miles's face. "Has their technology advanced so far that they don't need electronic communications at all?!"
He had never encountered anything like this.
Electronic Signal Manipulation could be countered. The most common method
