Three minutes earlier.
The corridors inside the temple glittered with gold. Intricate murals covered the vaulted ceiling, while cold metallic gleams intertwined with ancient totems, lending the place an eerie severity.
Two guards in golden armor patrolled their assigned route with heavy steps. Their metal boots rang against the floor, the sound echoing through the empty corridor in a steady, oppressive rhythm.
They were Miles and Scott Lang, who had split off from the main group. Their outfits came courtesy of two unlucky guards who had "fallen asleep" in a corner.
Neither of their faces had ever appeared in the temple before. Yet, strangely, the other patrol guards they passed took their presence for granted, as though they had always belonged there.

"We're going to inspect the central temple."
Blue light flickered in Miles's eyes beneath his guard's disguise. "This is a secret order from His Majesty the Pharaoh! Don't let too many people know!"
Cognitive Interference!
"Y-yes."
The suspicion in the Centurion's eyes instantly gave way to inexplicable dread, as though he had heard a momentous secret. He did not even dare look at them again. He bowed, nodded, and hurried away.
Only when the Centurion disappeared around the corner did Scott Lang, also dressed as a guard, relax. After checking several times that no one was nearby, he opened his mouth to speak, only to catch a fierce glare from Miles.
[Don't speak. If you need anything, call to me in your mind. I
