In an instant, thousands of rifts tore through the sky and ground of the entire floating continent.
Golden rectangular portals opened across the ground, while blue circular portals spun open in the air. Agents even burst from beneath the thick layers of rock.
Most terrifying of all, an enormous ring-shaped spacetime vortex slowly formed high overhead. An indescribable will gazed out from the other side. That gaze alone sent an icy shudder through the depths of everyone's soul.
"We're here!"
"So this is the Quantum Realm!"
"Where are the stowaways?!"
The moment more than a thousand TVA agents appeared, they searched every corner of the floating island for Miles and his companions.
But everywhere they looked, they saw nothing but TVA agent uniforms.
Where are they?
The TVA agents exchanged bewildered looks. Their orders were to capture four stowaways, yet apart from their own people, there was no one else here.
"Captain, what's going on?"
One agent asked his captain, "Did we get the location wrong? Could they have already passed through the Quantum Realm into the real world?"
"Impossible." The agent captain dismissed the idea outright. He studied the Time Controller in his hand. "Our tracking can't be wrong. Perhaps... the time structure here is too unusual. More than a hundred overlapping loops may have interfered with our coordinates."
"Then what do we do? Go to the next loop's timeline?" another agent asked.
"Let's head back for now."
The agent captain sighed. "This attempt failed. We'll have to wait until their next time jump to locate them again."
"Understood." The agent nodded.
"Oh, Captain!" A younger agent came over and pointed at the massive vortex above. "What's that?"
