Miles looked at Doom on the platform, then at the Doom standing before him, and let out a cold laugh. "So you're just a stand-in?"
"A stand-in?"
Doom's voice came from behind the metal mask.
"Wrong."
He slowly turned around.
"Doom has never needed a stand-in."
As his words fell, the surface of the "Doom" before Miles suddenly glowed with a pale green light.
The metal armor began to turn transparent.
The cloak, mask, body, and even the intricate mechanical structures inside rapidly disintegrated within the light, turning into countless tiny green runes that scattered in every direction.
Only then did Miles finally see clearly—
That was not a real person at all.
It was not even a Doom Robot in the traditional sense.
It was merely an advanced magical projection operating in conjunction with the World Anchor.
"Fine."
Miles raised his head and looked toward the floating platform at the very top of the World Anchor.
"That really is your style."
The next instant, his body slowly rose from the ground under the force of telekinesis.
Ten meters.
A hundred meters.
A thousand meters.
As the distance steadily increased, the mechanical continent beneath his feet, already so enormous that its boundaries were impossible to make out, gradually revealed its more complete structure.
Six rule nodes representing the Infinity Stones were distributed around the outer perimeter of the World Anchor.
Countless streams of light stretched out like blood vessels from the depths of the entire plane, continuously transporting immense energy and cosmic laws toward the center.
And that so-called "World Anchor" no longer looked like a machine.
It looked more like... some kind of artificially created cosmic organ.
A few seconds later, Miles landed at the edge of the floating platform and walked straight to Doom's side.
"So."
Miles asked,
