Miles stared blankly at everything before him. After a long while, he finally came back to his senses.
Abraxas had locked onto Doom's causal thread, so as long as Doom still existed, It would continue to descend...
So Doom chose to end himself?
Having understood all of this, Miles slowly rose to his feet again.
"So what does this mean now..."
"Am I the only one left in this universe?"
"What exactly is the Ultimate Nullifier?"
"If Doom truly erased everything, then why am I still alive?"
No one answered his questions.
The universe after the apocalypse was terrifyingly quiet.
As far as he could see, there were no stars, no nebulae, nor any light that could prove the existence of "distance." There were no celestial bodies, no dust, no radiation sources. Even the faint noise that should have been everywhere in the cosmic background had vanished without a trace.
Miles floated in boundless nothingness, having lost all sense of up and down, near and far.
"Doom told me to leave..."
Miles muttered to himself, then began trying to sense the spacetime structure of the current universe.
Then he discovered that the current universe's connection to the Multiverse had been isolated.
He tried Astral Projection to enter the Astral Plane, only to find that it too had become a lifeless silence.
"Psychic Traversal."
Miles tried to open a portal, but he simply could not lock onto any reality beyond the current universe.
He finally realized that he was trapped in this universe.
"Fuck..."
Miles cursed under his breath. "Damn Doom, how am I supposed to get back?"
Afterward, Miles forced himself to calm down and began thinking.
Doom wanted me to take him away earlier. That means there must be some way to leave this universe...
