Arc 7The Dark Trident and the Void

Chu Hang was cast into the DC Universe, where he strengthened his laws, acquired the Dark Trident, and joined Ganthet in investigating the force behind destroyed star systems. The arc ended with Chu Hang guiding Void Force into his body and beginning to fuse it with his own power as the Anti-Monitor’s projection confronted him.

  • Chu Hang restored Asgard, made Hela its guardian, helped Thor forge Stormbreaker, and rescued Vision from Corvus Glaive before battling Thanos across Knowhere and Wakanda.
  • After the TVA device swallowed Chu Hang, he awoke in Metropolis, copied Superman’s physiology and Barry Allen’s Speed Force, and balanced it with the Time Stone’s temporal power.
  • Chu Hang grew stronger by absorbing solar and World Engine energy, helped Superman defeat Zod, and learned Kryptonian theories about conceptual and rule-based power.
  • Chu Hang found the Dark Trident beneath Atlantis, defeated the Lord of the Abyss, and absorbed the trident’s power and knowledge of death while overcoming the Abyssal Will.
  • Chu Hang refused to surrender the Dark Trident to Ganthet and the Green Lanterns, then agreed to accompany them in investigating the force that had destroyed three star systems.
  • At the edge of Sector Zero, the Anti-Monitor’s projection emerged through a rift and overcame Chu Hang’s attacks, infecting his hand with Void Force.
  • Chu Hang used his seven integrated laws to contain the Void Force, drew the Anti-Monitor’s attention, and guided a concentrated stream of Void Force into a prepared passage to begin fusing it with his own.
Chapters 151–175 Vol. 2 Read

Ch. 151Asgard's Guardian

Chu Hang defeated Hela and made her Asgard’s new guardian, while Thor challenged his authority and was restrained. He restored Asgard’s ruined land and buildings, then told Thor that he was still too weak.

  • Thor demanded that Chu Hang kill Hela for destroying Asgard, but Chu Hang declared Thor unqualified to rule.

  • Chu Hang ordered Hela to destroy her undead army, and Loki bowed to Chu Hang while praising him.
  • Chu Hang restored Asgard’s ruins, rebuilt its palaces and Bifrost, and revived its plants and land.
  • Chu Hang told Thor that Asgard was restored but mocked him for being unable to fight without his hammer.

Ch. 152Enhanced Stormbreaker

Chu Hang took Thor to the frozen Nidavellir and pushed him to help Eitri forge a new weapon. Thor revived the forge by opening the neutron star’s iris and survived its energy, while Chu Hang transformed scrap metal into a handle that joined the blazing axe head; the weapon’s power erupted as it was completed.

  • Chu Hang opened a rift to Nidavellir and brought Thor to meet Eitri, whose hands had been sealed in Uru metal.
  • Eitri pleaded with Chu Hang to avenge him, but Chu Hang told him to forge an axe for Thor and ordered Thor to wake the frozen star.
  • Thor opened the star’s iris and endured its destructive energy as his body repeatedly burned away and regenerated.
  • Eitri used the star’s energy to forge an axe head from Uru, but Thor was too injured to find a handle.
  • Chu Hang transformed a scrap of metal into a handle, which joined the axe head and unleashed a storm of thunder, space, and reality.

Ch. 153Infinity War Begins

Chu Hang gave Thor Stormbreaker and returned with him to Earth, where the Avengers had split over the Sokovia Accords. He saved Vision from Corvus Glaive and drove Proxima Midnight away, then faced Steve while Wanda watched with unresolved resentment.

  • Chu Hang presented Thor with Stormbreaker, explaining that it could help him wield Infinity Stones but would not by itself defeat Thanos.
  • Chu Hang and Thor returned to the Avengers' base, where Wanda said Tony had stayed and Steve had left after they fought over an agreement and Sergeant Barnes.
  • Chu Hang sensed Vision's distress and teleported with Wanda to Edinburgh, where Corvus Glaive was extracting the Mind Stone while Proxima Midnight fought Steve, Natasha, and Sam.
  • Chu Hang broke Corvus Glaive's halberd, healed Vision, and killed Corvus Glaive with his own weapon.
  • Proxima Midnight attacked Wanda, but Chu Hang stopped her energy blasts, forcing her to flee aboard a cloaked ship.
  • Steve approached Chu Hang after the battle, but Chu Hang turned toward Wanda, whose expression still held grievance and resentment.

Ch. 154A Hidden Gaze

Chu Hang arrived in New York with Wanda and swiftly defeated Ebony Maw and Cull Obsidian, saving Tony and Strange. After the battle, he detected an Observer scanning him and struck back across dimensions, forcing it to sever the connection.

  • Chu Hang took Wanda through a spatial rift to New York, where Tony fought Cull Obsidian and Ebony Maw dragged Strange toward him.
  • Chu Hang severed Cull Obsidian’s arm and stopped Ebony Maw’s attacks, then made Ebony Maw repeat the same command endlessly.
  • Thor tried to strike Cull Obsidian with Stormbreaker, but Chu Hang stopped the blow and erased Cull Obsidian by collapsing the space beneath him.
  • Chu Hang noticed an Observer scanning him and sent an invisible attack along the beam, corrupting its data and making it end the connection.

Ch. 155Avengers: Infinity War (Part One)

After learning that Thanos had taken the Power Stone and was targeting the Reality Stone, Chu Hang split the heroes between Knowhere, Asgard, and Wakanda. The battle for Wakanda began, and as Wanda confronted Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight, an ominous presence approached.

  • Chu Hang extracted Ebony Maw's memories, learned that Xandar had fallen and the Reality Stone was next, then sent Thor to Asgard and the others to defend Earth while he went to Knowhere.
  • At the Avengers Compound, Tony, Steve, Banner, and Strange reunited and found Chu Hang's robot legion waiting for them.
  • In Wakanda, Shuri began removing the Mind Stone from Vision as T'Challa prepared the nation's defenses against Thanos's forces.
  • Outriders attacked Wakanda's shield, and Chu Hang's robots helped the heroes hold the line until landing craft breached the barrier.
  • Corvus Glaive and Proxima Midnight rushed toward Shuri's laboratory, but Wanda stopped them with Chaos Magic as the ground began to tremble and an immense pressure descended over Wakanda.

Ch. 156Infinity War (2)

Chu Hang confronted Thanos on burning Knowhere, where Thanos used the Reality Stone to undo injuries and challenged Chu Hang’s laws with the Infinity Gauntlet. Chu Hang wounded Thanos by declaring that there were no gods in his domain, but Thanos acquired the Space Stone and vanished, leaving Chu Hang stranded amid distorted space.

  • Chu Hang arrived on Knowhere and found Thanos holding the Power Stone and the Reality Stone beside the Collector’s corpse.
  • Chu Hang rejected Thanos’s plan to kill half the universe, and Thanos used the Reality Stone to briefly restore the ruins before letting the illusion collapse.
  • Chu Hang and Thanos exchanged attacks, but their powers nullified or broke through each other’s laws.
  • Chu Hang expanded his domain and declared that there were no gods, stripping Thanos of his immortality and injuring him with a physical punch.
  • Thanos erased his wound with the Reality Stone and revealed that Loki had given him the Cosmic Cube; he broke it open and added the Space Stone to the gauntlet.
  • Thanos distorted space throughout Chu Hang’s domain and disappeared, while Chu Hang failed to open a path back to Earth.

Ch. 157Avengers: Infinity War (3)

Thanos sacrificed Gamora on Vormir to obtain the Soul Stone, while Chu Hang copied Hela’s Law of Death and learned that Loki still possessed the Tesseract. In Wakanda, the Outriders halted as Thanos descended onto the battlefield wielding four Infinity Stones.

  • Red Skull told Thanos that he had to sacrifice the person he loved most to claim the Soul Stone.
  • Thanos let Gamora fall from the cliff, completing the sacrifice and obtaining the Soul Stone.
  • Chu Hang confronted Loki, copied the Law of Death from Hela, and discovered that Loki had the genuine Cosmic Cube.
  • Chu Hang suspected that the Time Variance Authority had supplied Thanos with Infinity Stones and ordered Loki to guard Asgard before vanishing.
  • In Wakanda, the Outriders stopped advancing as Thanos emerged from a vortex with four Stones shining on his Infinity Gauntlet.

Ch. 158Infinity War (Part Four)

Thanos overwhelmed the Avengers as he approached Vision, but Chu Hang intervened, wounded him, and challenged him to a fight in space. Their battle began inside Chu Hang’s Law Domain, where he used the Law of Death and healed himself with the Law of Time.

  • Thanos repelled the Avengers’ attacks with the Infinity Stones and sent Steve, Tony, Rhodey, and the Wakandan soldiers flying with a shock wave.
  • Thor struck Thanos in the shoulder with Stormbreaker, but Thanos drove the axe deeper and blasted Thor into a mountainside.
  • Chu Hang attacked Thanos with black power, then spread his domain to heal the Avengers and erase thousands of Outriders.
  • Thanos used the Infinity Stones to crack Chu Hang’s domain, and Chu Hang opened a rift to draw him into space, away from Vision.
  • Thanos told Chu Hang that a group trying to prune time’s branches had delivered the Stones, then attacked him with a punch.
  • Chu Hang wounded Thanos with the Law of Death, endured an elbow strike, and healed himself with the Law of Time.

Ch. 159Avengers: Infinity War (Finale)

Chu Hang defeated Thanos in their battle but sacrificed himself to stop the TVA device from pruning the timeline, vanishing into an Abyss. Thanos survived, took Vision's Mind Stone, and assembled all six Infinity Stones before stopping Thor's Stormbreaker with a finger snap.

  • Chu Hang wounded Thanos with a six-law attack, then sensed the TVA device in Wakanda and abandoned the fight to confront it.
  • Chu Hang used his Law Domain against the device, but its green energy tore through his defenses and opened an Abyss that swallowed both him and the device.
  • The Avengers mourned Chu Hang's disappearance as the wounded Thanos returned and advanced toward Vision in Shuri Laboratory.
  • The Avengers attacked Thanos, but he deflected their assault; Wanda restrained him with Chaos Magic while Vision urged her to destroy the Mind Stone.
  • Thanos reversed time to restore Vision, then tore out the Mind Stone and placed it in the Infinity Gauntlet.
  • Thor hurled Stormbreaker at Thanos, but Thanos stopped it short of his head and snapped his fingers.

Ch. 160An Unexpected Journey: The DC Universe

Chu Hang survived the journey through a spatial rift and discovered he had landed in the DC Universe. After copying Superman’s Kryptonian physiology and absorbing solar energy, he regained and strengthened his powers, but chose to remain in Metropolis until he could safely return to the Marvel Universe.

  • Chu Hang emerged badly injured in Metropolis and found that the laws of the universe suppressed most of his powers.
  • Chu Hang saw Superman fighting a mechanical life-form and contained its self-destruction with a Spatial Cage, saving Superman.
  • Chu Hang copied Superman’s Kryptonian physiology after shaking his hand and learned that he was in Metropolis.
  • Chu Hang flew into space and absorbed solar energy, healing his wounds, merging his four physical enhancements, and recovering some of his law powers.
  • Chu Hang sensed a possible route home but decided to stay in the DC Universe until he had recovered enough to return safely.

Ch. 161The Flash

After mastering his Kryptonian abilities, Chu Hang traveled to Central City and copied the Speed Force from Barry Allen. He survived the unstable collision between the Speed Force and the Time Stone’s power, then vanished, leaving Barry wary and confused.

  • Chu Hang tested his Super Hearing and X-Ray Vision while searching the world for unusual activity.
  • Chu Hang heard The Flash racing through Central City and used the Law of Space to travel there.
  • Chu Hang staged a fall in an alley, touched Barry Allen, and copied the Speed Force.
  • The Speed Force destabilized Chu Hang’s powers and timeline, while Barry felt his own Speed Force being pulled away.
  • Chu Hang forced the Speed Force and the Time Stone’s power into a fragile balance, acquired the Speed Force, and disappeared as Barry watched.

Ch. 162Speed Force

Chu Hang stabilized the copied Speed Force by separating it from the Time Stone’s power and locking it in a Spatial Cage. Afterward, he discovered that the Speed Force let him perceive branching outcomes and use its vibrations to interact with objects in new ways.

  • Chu Hang saw the Speed Force and the Time Stone’s temporal power destabilizing his Law Domain and disrupting his perception of time.
  • Chu Hang used his will to separate the red Speed Force lightning from the green temporal radiance.
  • Chu Hang sealed the Speed Force in a Spatial Cage reinforced by the Laws of Space and Force, then restored the Time Stone’s power to its original paths.
  • Chu Hang recovered enough to reach for a glass, but he saw multiple possible outcomes and accidentally crushed it.
  • Chu Hang vibrated his hand through the glass, then solidified it and grasped the glass without disturbing it.

Ch. 163Mid Skyfather-level

Chu Hang absorbed solar energy near the sun to break through the limits of his laws and merge the Speed Force with the Law of Time. He reached Mid Skyfather-level, leaving him confident he could defeat Thanos while still mindful of greater multiversal powers.

  • Chu Hang assessed his powers and concluded that his Low Skyfather-level strength was not enough to face Thanos, who might possess all six Stones.
  • Chu Hang flew to the sun and absorbed its energy to accelerate the growth of his powers.
  • The Law of Space, Law of Force, Law of the Body, Mental Law, and Law of Reality broke through, but the Law of Time remained stuck.
  • Chu Hang released the Speed Force from its cage and used solar energy to bind it with the Law of Time, creating a balanced power that let him perceive temporal branches and choose among them.
  • Chu Hang's life essence transformed, raising him to Mid Skyfather-level and giving him at least a ninety-nine percent chance of defeating Thanos.

Ch. 164Zod Descends

Chu Hang waited for General Zod’s arrival, hoping to absorb energy from the World Engine while Superman defended Earth. After Zod began his invasion, Chu Hang watched from an abandoned factory as Superman fought Kryptonian warriors and a World Engine deployment device activated.

  • Chu Hang used Super Hearing to learn that an alien signal was approaching Earth and decided to wait for Zod and the World Engine.
  • Chu Hang practiced combining the Speed Force with the Law of Time, using molecular phasing and precise control to pick up a glass.
  • Chu Hang discovered that a cloaked spacecraft near Metropolis was human, then waited until Zod’s real ship arrived and broadcast its demand for Kal-El.
  • Chu Hang teleported to an abandoned factory and watched through a hacked military satellite feed as Superman rescued falling fighter jets and refused Zod’s demands.
  • Zod sent World Engine deployment devices across the city while Kryptonian warriors attacked Superman, and one device began activating as Chu Hang watched.

Ch. 165Energy Feast

Chu Hang absorbed the World Engine’s energy while subtly influencing the battle between Superman and Zod. As their fight reached its fiercest point, Chu Hang’s Law Domain became firmly established, and Zod faced a battered but resolute Superman.

  • Chu Hang split his spatial passage into countless channels, greatly improving his energy absorption and stabilizing his Mid Skyfather-level power.
  • Zod entered the battlefield and relentlessly attacked Superman, exploiting his concern for civilians and his weak combat technique.
  • Chu Hang caused falling debris to block Zod’s heat vision, giving Superman a chance to strike Zod with his own heat vision.
  • Chu Hang continued absorbing the World Engine’s energy and nudged battlefield events to help Superman avoid danger as the World Engine reached peak output.
  • Superman and Zod fought in the sky until a burst of white light consumed the surrounding wreckage, leaving both battered and facing each other.
  • Chu Hang stood as his Law Domain became firm and the energy within him overflowed.

Ch. 166End the Battle

Chu Hang stopped the World Engine disrupting Metropolis, then defeated Zod by severing his connection to the yellow sun’s power. After saving a family from a collapsing building, Superman knocked Zod unconscious, but Chu Hang stopped him from destroying the last World Engine and claimed it for himself.

  • Chu Hang shut down the first World Engine, making its beam vanish and bringing the battle between Zod and Superman to a halt.
  • Zod attacked Chu Hang, who used Law Domain and a tap of his finger to drain Zod’s yellow-sun power and send him crashing to the street.
  • Chu Hang urged Superman to continue the fight, and Superman pinned the weakened Zod down after disarming his final attack.
  • When the last World Engine began emitting a destructive beam, Chu Hang teleported a trapped family to safety.
  • Superman refused to kill Zod and knocked him unconscious, then headed for the last World Engine until Chu Hang blocked him and said he would handle it.

Ch. 167World Engine's Gift

Chu Hang stabilized the last World Engine, accessed its Kryptonian database, and discovered that his six laws belonged to the Rule Layer, giving him a path toward the Conceptual Layer. He chose Greed as his core concept, shut down the machine, took its miniature black hole and data, and prepared to leave after speaking with Superman.

  • Chu Hang detected a flaw that could make the World Engine explode and stopped Superman from trying to move it.
  • Chu Hang used his Law Domain to stabilize the World Engine and infiltrated its core, learning Kryptonian theories about the universe’s layers of power.
  • When the machine’s defenses attacked his consciousness, Chu Hang used the Mental Law to make its system recognize him as a maintainer and opened the core database.
  • Chu Hang learned how Conceptual Layer power differed from Rule Layer power and chose Greed as the core concept he would pursue.
  • Chu Hang copied the database, erased the dangerous energy crack, separated the miniature black hole, and shut down the World Engine.
  • Superman asked who Chu Hang was, and Chu Hang called himself a passing traveler before indicating that he would soon leave.

Ch. 168In Search of the Deep Sea

Chu Hang organized the Kryptonian database and discovered that an ancient weapon called the Dark Trident might help him break through the Conceptual Layer. He found Atlantis and its hidden ruins beneath the Atlantic, opened the seal concealing them, and sensed an Atlantean watcher observing him.

  • Chu Hang sorted the Kryptonian data and learned that the Kryptonians had detected Atlantis and a powerful weapon called the Abyss Trident beneath the ocean.
  • Chu Hang flew over the Atlantic and used Super Hearing to locate an unusual undersea city, then descended to Atlantis.
  • Chu Hang bypassed the city and found murals in a deep trench depicting the Dark Trident draining the force of the Life Law.
  • Chu Hang discovered a sealed space beneath an ancient temple and opened a passage by manipulating the Law of Space.
  • Chu Hang sensed a distant watcher monitoring him, addressed them, and watched their presence disappear.

Ch. 169Lord of the Abyss

Chu Hang entered the Lord of the Abyss’s domain to claim the Dark Trident and fought its robed guardian, who wielded the Law of Death. After Chu Hang’s fused laws collapsed much of the domain, the guardian admitted it could not stop him, leaving the trident within reach.

  • Chu Hang crossed a spatial rift into a dark independent realm and found the Dark Trident atop a skull-carved altar.
  • The Lord of the Abyss appeared and recognized Chu Hang as an outsider who had come for the trident.
  • The Lord of the Abyss attacked with Existence Erasure, but Chu Hang dodged and his spatial rifts were erased by the guardian’s Law of Death.
  • Chu Hang unleashed a sphere combining six major laws, and its collision with the guardian’s attack caused the realm to collapse.
  • The Lord of the Abyss, standing across the damaged altar, admitted defeat and said it could not stop Chu Hang.

Ch. 170The Dark Trident

Chu Hang seized the Dark Trident and endured its deadly corruption, using his existing laws and vitality to absorb its power instead. Inside the weapon, he confronted the first king of Atlantis’s consciousness imprint and began integrating the trident’s law of death into his system.

  • The black-robed figure warned Chu Hang that the Dark Trident devoured the souls of anyone who tried to wield it, but Chu Hang climbed the altar anyway.
  • Chu Hang grasped the trident and received the first king of Atlantis’s knowledge of death as its black flames began consuming his vitality.
  • Chu Hang’s law of time and celestial life energy kept him alive as he processed the torrent of insight, while the black-robed figure predicted he would become the fourteenth victim.
  • Inside the trident, the first king’s consciousness imprint showed Chu Hang the thirteen trapped souls and declared that he would join them.
  • Chu Hang used his law of death and other powers to absorb the trident’s corrosive energy, revealing six interconnected laws and astonishing the king’s imprint.
  • Chu Hang began absorbing the trident’s power of death, rapidly deepening his understanding of the law.

Ch. 171The true Law of Death

Chu Hang absorbed the Dark Trident’s accumulated knowledge and power, gaining a deeper understanding of the Law of Death. He uncovered the trident’s murderous history and the Abyssal Will’s trap, while the Will’s power flowed into him.

  • Chu Hang entered the trident and began absorbing its energy, overwhelming the artifact spirit.
  • The trident’s knowledge helped Chu Hang understand that the Law of Death could define and erase bodies, souls, concepts, history, civilizations, and even laws.
  • Chu Hang saw memories of the first king killing the Old Gods and forging the trident from their power, before Atlantis sank beneath the sea.
  • Chu Hang realized the trident had become a prison for the Abyssal Will, a collective of dead souls that lured challengers into its trap.
  • The Abyssal Will failed to consume Chu Hang, whose multiple laws, mental strength, and foundation in the Law of Death made him its worst nightmare.

Ch. 172The Green Lantern Corps intervenes

Chu Hang escaped Atlantis with the Dark Trident, but the Green Lantern Corps confronted him over its dangerous energy. After he erased their attacks with the law of death, a Guardian arrived as the confrontation escalated.

  • Chu Hang escaped the collapsing trench and used the Dark Trident to break Mera’s water attacks as she and Atlantean guards pursued him.
  • Chu Hang refused to surrender the trident to Hal Jordan and two Green Lanterns, who demanded to inspect it.
  • The three Green Lanterns attacked, but Chu Hang’s law of death erased their energy constructs and forced them to retreat.
  • Hal Jordan called for reinforcements, and a Guardian emerged from a rift in space above the Green Lantern ships.

Ch. 173Guardians Ganthet

Chu Hang resisted Ganthet’s demand to surrender the Dark Trident, then negotiated over its danger and his need to return to his own universe. Ganthet offered him a powerful Green Lantern Ring in exchange for accompanying him to investigate an unknown force that had destroyed three star systems.

  • Ganthet demanded that Chu Hang hand over the Dark Trident under the Universal Security Act, but Chu Hang refused and defended himself against Ganthet’s Green Lantern constructs with his Law Domain.
  • Ganthet burned his life essence to approach Peak Skyfather-level power, but Chu Hang released the trident and proposed taking it out of the universe when he returned home.
  • Chu Hang explained that the Abyssal Will obeyed him and argued that leaving the universe would remove the trident as a threat; Ganthet accepted the possibility but questioned how Chu Hang would obtain enough energy to open a spatial rift.
  • Ganthet offered access to Oa’s Central Power Battery if Chu Hang helped deal with an unknown power that had destroyed three inhabited star systems, but Chu Hang refused to become his enforcer.
  • Ganthet proposed that Chu Hang only accompany him to investigate the power’s source and offered his own Green Lantern Ring, which held thousands of years of accumulated willpower energy.

Ch. 174An anomaly at the edge of the DC Universe

Chu Hang and Ganthet investigated the destruction of three star systems and discovered a rift that released a projection of the Anti-Monitor. Chu Hang failed to seal the passage, and the void force rebounding from it infected his hand.

  • Chu Hang accepted Ganthet's invitation to investigate the destroyed star systems and traveled with him and Hal Jordan's Green Lanterns to the edge of Sector Zero.
  • Chu Hang sensed a spatial vortex and sent a consciousness avatar inside, where it saw a shifting shadow that devoured the void before he severed the connection.
  • The vortex expanded into a vast rift, and a colossal hand emerged, disintegrating Ganthet's shields as the Anti-Monitor's projection crawled through.
  • Chu Hang attacked the hand with the Dark Trident and used his Law Domain to try to erase it, but the projection overcame both attacks.
  • Ganthet identified the creature as a projection of the Anti-Monitor and urged Chu Hang to flee; Chu Hang tried to seal the rift but was repelled and infected by void force.
  • Chu Hang suppressed the spreading infection with his law of death, but the black patterns remained on his hand.

Ch. 175Void Force

Chu Hang tried to use the Void Force mark on his hand to infiltrate the Anti-Monitor’s projection and destroy it from within. As the Anti-Monitor examined him and flooded him with more Void Force, Chu Hang struggled to keep his fragile Law Domain intact while the two forces began to merge.

  • Ganthet told Chu Hang that the Anti-Monitor’s projection could not be driven away before the Guardians gathered enough power, and that entering it to destroy its consciousness core would likely erase him completely.
  • Chu Hang released his suppression of the Black Noir mark and used his seven integrated laws to contain and guide the Void Force spreading through his body.
  • Chu Hang amplified a faint resonance between Void Force and his laws until the Anti-Monitor noticed that he was imitating it.
  • The Anti-Monitor compressed its projection and touched Chu Hang’s chest with a concentrated Void Force fingertip.
  • Chu Hang directed the new Void Force into his prepared passage, and the two streams began to fuse without repelling each other.
