Clearing the Void Force

The orange-yellow time door stabilized in the center of the Meteorite Base's hall.

Chu Hang took one last look at the secluded cultivation chamber he had created in three minutes, then turned to Wanda. "Let's go."

Wanda followed. A wisp of red magic coiled around the fingertips of her right hand, ready to strike at any moment.

B-15 looked back at the judge. The judge glanced at Chu Hang, said nothing, and went in as well.

Passing through the time door felt strange. It was not the instant teleportation of spatial transmission, nor the compression of a Quantum Tunnel. It was more like being stripped from the timeline and suspended outside all time.

The scene before him made Chu Hang pause for half a second.

This was a huge circular hall at least five hundred meters in diameter. The walls, floor, and ceiling were all made of dark golden metal, with orange-yellow time runes flowing across their surfaces. A massive spherical device floated in the center of the hall. Countless golden rays extended from it in all directions, connecting to the densely packed time doors on the walls.

Each time door led to a different timeline.

Chu Hang could see the scenes beyond the doors. Some showed the streets of New York, some showed the royal palace of Asgard, and others showed completely unfamiliar planets. The scenes kept changing, as if someone were fast-forwarding a video.

Agents in uniform were everywhere in the hall. They hurried about carrying documents or escorting handcuffed time criminals. No one noticed Chu Hang's group. Everyone was focused on their own tasks.

"This is the headquarters of the Time Variance Authority." The judge walked ahead, his voice calm. "We exist outside all timelines. There is no past here, no future—only the eternal present."
