They left the Purification Pool and entered the corridor again.

This time, they took a different route from the one they had come by. The Judge led them through several junctions before finally stopping in front of a massive bronze door. Carved into it was the pattern of the Time Tree, countless branches extending in every direction. Each branch represented a timeline.

The Judge did not knock. Instead, she pushed the door open.

Beyond the door was a circular room with a diameter of only a dozen or so meters. A massive golden orb of light floated in the center, complex temporal runes flowing across its surface. A figure stood in front of the orb with his back to the entrance.

It was Loki.

He wore a dark green robe, his long black hair draped over his shoulders. Unlike the cunning God of Mischief in Chu Hang's memories, this Loki's back radiated exhaustion and heaviness.

"Chu Hang." Loki did not turn around. His voice was so calm it hardly sounded like him. "I knew you would come."

Chu Hang entered the room. Wanda stayed outside, while B-15 and the Judge withdrew as well.

The door closed.

Only Chu Hang and Loki remained in the room.

"How did you know?" Chu Hang asked.

Loki turned around. There were more traces of age on his face, and an indescribable weariness in his eyes. It was not physical exhaustion, but mental exhaustion.

"Because I've seen every timeline." Loki said, "I knew you would reverse the Snap, knew you would attract the attention of the Time Variance Authority, and knew you would eventually stand here."
