Chu Hang and Wanda stepped out of the time door onto a metal platform.

The platform hovered in outer space, surrounded by countless planets. The surface of the nearest planet glowed blue, and densely packed aircraft could be seen weaving through its atmosphere.

This was the TVA-8264 Universe.

Chu Hang opened the Space-Time GPS. The screen displayed the coordinates of Base Kang-31. He raised his head and looked toward the third galaxy, where a massive metal fortress should have been.

But there was nothing.

"Something's wrong," Chu Hang said.

Wanda noticed the anomaly as well. Her Chaos Magic danced at her fingertips, as if sensing something. "The base isn't here."

Chu Hang brought up his tablet and checked the files B-15 had provided. The files showed that Base Kang-31 was in this galaxy, with coordinates accurate to six decimal places. But there was nothing at that location now—not even an energy fluctuation.

He pressed the communicator.

"B-15, we're here. But the target's gone."

B-15's voice came through the communicator, tinged with obvious confusion. "Impossible. Three hours ago, we could still track Kang-31's temporal signal."

"What about now?"

"It's gone," B-15 said. "His temporal signal has vanished completely, as if it had been erased from every timeline."

Chu Hang frowned. Being erased was impossible. Kang-31 wouldn't die that easily. That left only one explanation—the other party had hidden somewhere the Time Variance Authority couldn't detect.

"He's outside the flow of time," Chu Hang said. "Just like the Time Variance Authority headquarters, which exists outside all timelines."

The communicator fell silent for several seconds.

"Is there such a place?" B-15 asked.

An idea flashed through Chu Hang's mind.
