Chu Hang and Wanda stepped through the portal and landed in the lobby of the Time Variance Authority.

Loki was still maintaining the timelines. He had conjured an illusion to wait in the lobby, and the time door behind it was closing. His gaze lingered on Chu Hang for two seconds.

"Is Kang dead?"

"Dead," Chu Hang said.

"Good." Loki nodded. "Faster than I expected."

Chu Hang said nothing. The laws within him were vibrating, and the barrier of the Skyfather level was loosening. He felt he could break through at any moment.

Loki noticed it too.

"You're about to break through," he said. "I can feel the fluctuations of your laws."

"I need somewhere safe."

"I have a place ready." Loki turned, and the time door opened again. "Follow me."

The three passed through the door into a space made of pure golden energy. It had no boundaries, only flowing golden light.

"The Time Variance Authority's energy core," Loki explained. "The residual energy from every pruned timeline gathers here."

He paused.

"There's enough energy here for your breakthrough. And this place exists outside all timelines. No one can interfere with you."

Chu Hang looked at the golden energy around him, so dense it had almost become solid.

"How long will you need?" Loki asked.

"I don't know. A few hours, maybe a few days."

"That's fine. Time flows differently here. A day here is only an hour outside."

He looked at Wanda.

"Will you stay with him?"

Wanda nodded.

"All right." Loki turned, then stopped at the doorway. "Chu Hang, once you've broken through, we need to discuss Void Land. The Anti-Monitor won't sleep forever."
