In 880, the Alliance held its decennial National Development Planning Conference once again.

"The Alliance has now occupied five new Domains and designated four of them as new Core Zones," Vanessa said.

On the unfolded map of the Milky Way Galaxy, a new Domain had appeared to the east, west, north, and south of the Maelstrom Domain.

These four new Domains were all Alliance Homeworlds that Huron had coreized, with administrative numbers 2, 3, 4, and 5.

The Alliance now had all the people and money it needed, and its military strength stood in a class of its own within the Imperium of Man. Naturally, its outward expansion was anything but slow.

With the ever-growing Inquisition Alliance faction and the Ecclesiarchy's Human Evangelical faction spearheading the advance, the vast majority of powers in its path surrendered at its approach, even though they had long heard of the Alliance's ruthless treatment of the rich and powerful.

For the few who stubbornly resisted, the Inquisition and Ecclesiarchy listed their many crimes, turning them from mere criminals into heretics and traitors and nailing them to the pillar of shame.

After all, in the Warhammer setting, no power had clean hands.

Even the Alliance abused psyker power, colluded with xenos, and used Iron Men, never mind the other powers within the Imperium of Man.

The Council of High Lords turned a blind eye as well. Even though the "Maelstrom Alliance" had long since expanded far beyond the Maelstrom Zone, they dared not actually say so.

What else could they do?

Did they want their political rivals to drive them straight out of office, or the Custodians to exercise the ultimate right of censure against them?

The populations of the four new Domains were not particularly large. Anyone who knew anything understood how much control
