It had already been two months.

Elin wandered the streets of Pentos when he suddenly spotted a silver-haired, purple-eyed man and woman.

Mission.

He froze for a moment, then rushed over.

After listening to Elin's account of his audience.

A savage, sinister expression suddenly appeared on Viserion's gaunt face.

"You're a Lantel?! A lowly, shameless distant relative of the Lannisters! You dare appear before a True Dragon?!"

Elin dropped to his knees on the filthy Muddy Ground.

"Your Majesty, see clearly!"

"Though I was born into House Lantel, I have missed the rule of the True Dragon every moment of every day. I have never acknowledged the Usurper's shameless rebellion!"

Elin shuffled forward on his knees until he reached Viserion, then performed a proper, solemn bow.

"I dare not forget that Your Majesty is the true King of the Andals, the Rhoynar, and the First Men, ruler of the Seven Kingdoms and Protector of the Realm!"

"Only the great House Targaryen is worthy of sitting the Iron Throne!"

Everyone on the street turned to look.

Those who knew some of the details quietly explained Viserion's identity to those around them—the prince of the fallen House Targaryen, the penniless "Beggar King."

People began to snicker.

Viserion ignored all the scorn around him, completely intoxicated by Elin's flattery.

"The Seven Kingdoms truly remember me. They remember the True Dragon. That's right, I am the master of the Iron Throne! The Usurper's lackeys will not remain arrogant for long. The True Dragon's wrath will burn everything!"

Beside him, Daenerys was used to her brother's grand declarations. But she could not ignore the looks from the people around them, and they made her deeply uncomfortable.

She wanted to hide behind her brother to escape those piercing stares, but Viserion might not like that.

It would be bad if it awakened her brother's "Sleeping Dragon's Wrath" again.

Being outside was no fun at all. Daenerys regretted it.

They had been living perfectly well in the Magister's courtyard, so why did they have to come out and let people laugh at them?

She timidly looked at the youth kneeling respectfully on the ground.

His pale yellow hair, skin, and features all proved his Westerosi blood. Daenerys dearly wanted to learn more about her homeland, but she did not trust this glib-tongued youth.

"Your Majesty! This lowly one humbly begs you to let me remain by your side. Please grant me the supreme honor of serving the True Dragon!"

Elin prostrated himself on the ground, his tone and manner utterly sincere.

Viserion was greatly pleased. Yet years of wandering and fleeing had made him wary of everything.

"You said earlier that you were the attendant of the bastard sired by the Usurper?"

Elin raised his head, allowing Viserion to see eyes filled with hatred and pain. "That was in the past!"

"I had been living well at home, but the Lannisters were too powerful. They forced me into the palace to serve Joffrey, the cruel and vicious son of the Usurper."

Elin sighed and shook his head. "These past years have truly been worse than death."

"Two months ago, I was forced to cross the sea to Pentos to accompany them in purchasing Dragon Eggs. The sea terrifies me. I did not have the courage to cross it again, so I have wandered Pentos ever since."

"Actually, I had a feeling all along. Sure enough, there has been no news or aid at all these past few days."

Elin's explanation was perfectly reasonable. "Your Majesty, how could I possibly retain even the slightest fondness for the Usurpers?"

Viserion thought of his own wandering life and quickly understood Elin's reaction.

Besides, this fellow had been the little Usurper's attendant. Did someone like that turning to support and serve the True Dragon not further prove that destiny favored him?

"Then I grant you the honor of personally cutting off Joffrey's head, the Usurper's son. Once I sit upon the Iron Throne, all who are loyal to the True Dragon shall receive castles, titles, and lands!"

The proud Viserion accepted Elin's loyalty, while Daenerys had no chance to speak at all.

But she still did not quite believe him.

Everything this youth said might be a lie. How could it possibly be such a coincidence?

"Yes, how could it possibly be such a coincidence?" Magister Illyrio could not help feeling suspicious.

The first time Viserion and Daenerys had gone out in two months, they encountered Elin from the Sunset Kingdom, a man who had once been the attendant of the Iron Throne's Crown Prince.

Could it really not be a conspiracy?

Elin himself did not know whether he had done the right thing.

Over the past two months, he had finally put down roots in Pentos. As a person who had fallen on hard times, he ought to have been content.

But he still remembered his mission.

Though the streets and alleys of Pentos all knew of the Dragon Spawn, Elin simply could not reach the siblings within Magister Illyrio's residence.

With the deadline drawing ever closer and Horse King Khal Drogo already on his way to Pentos, Elin decided to take a risk.

Through the combined effects of careful preparation and chance, Elin finally encountered the Dragon House siblings on the street.

Now, only one most severe challenge remained.

Elin respectfully bowed to Magister Illyrio. "Magister, it is an honor to see your face again."

The Magister sat upon the High Platform in the hall, an unreadable smile on his face.

Viserion's tone was impatient. "Illyrio, he is merely a servant who longs to serve the True Dragon. Why be so suspicious?"

The Magister said nothing.

Though he regarded the Beggar King as nothing more than a chess piece, now was not the time to let the piece recognize its role.

The Magister weighed the pros and cons.

A Westerosi should be able to soothe some of Viserion's volatile, fragile emotions. Was the risk great?

The Magister looked Elin over again, thinking of all the intelligence gathered over the past two months.

Assassinations and conspiracies concerning the Iron Throne were all under Varys's control.

Crown Prince Joffrey remained foolish and willful.

Even if this Elin had a problem, what could one person do?

Illyrio trusted both his old friend Varys and his own influence in Pentos.

"Very well. Elin, from now on, devote yourself to serving your true King and Princess. Set aside everything in Westeros for the time being."

The Magister raised an arm and descended from the High Platform with the support of two servants.

"After all, this is Pentos."

Elin watched the Magister leave and deeply remembered his warning.

Pentos was fraught with deadly danger. Now that he had seen the Dragon Spawn with his own eyes, he was only one step away. How could he dare let all his efforts go to waste?

That night, he lay awake with his eyes closed, thinking of many things.

The next morning, after a round of instruction and guidance, Elin finally entered the more secluded garden within the courtyard under the lead of the other servants.

Amid the ivy, the silver-haired, purple-eyed Dragon House siblings rested at an ornate stone table.

Elin let all the excitement in his heart show.

"Your Majesty, Princess. Your humble servant Elin awaits your summons at any time."

Viserion toyed with an exquisite dagger in his hand. "I'm bored anyway. Tell me something interesting about the Usurper's side."

Even Elin could tell that the Beggar King did not know how to use a dagger at all.

"Your Majesty, what interesting things could there be about the Usurper? He is utterly unfit to be a king. With every passing day, the Seven Kingdoms suffer a little more torment and hardship. I only feel sorrow for the people of Westeros."

Elin declared each word distinctly.

"The Seven Kingdoms will soon welcome a new king!"

"The true king!"

"A king adored by all!!"
