Ch. 141Fourth Layer: Self!

Gu Changsheng and his companions confronted mirror selves that embodied parts of themselves they had refused to acknowledge, clearing the Mirror Gate’s Fourth Layer and strengthening the Gate of the Other Shore. As they entered the fifth layer, a white-haired man called Asura’s envoy appeared and demanded that Ning Qing return her name.

  • Qian Renxue acknowledged her fear and defeated the black-armored version of herself.
  • Hu Liena admitted her desire for control and overcame her mirror self by choosing to use power to protect others’ choices.
  • Shui Bing’er acknowledged both her strength and weakness, while Ning Qing accepted her past and merged with her mirror self.
  • Xiao Wu refused to kill Gu Changsheng to prove her independence, choosing instead to destroy her mirror self and make her own choices.
  • Gu Changsheng acknowledged his fear and longing for an ordinary life, merged with his mirror self, and gained Self-Anchoring as the Fourth Layer cleared.
  • Gu Changsheng and his companions saw the black forest of the fifth layer, where Asura’s envoy appeared and demanded that Ning Qing return her name.

Ch. 142The Fifth Layer, Trust!

Gu Changsheng and his companions passed the fifth layer by trusting each other’s judgment, gaining the Resonance Mark and raising their Gate of the Other Shore Authority to 34%. The sixth layer began when the marks turned black and their shared power flowed toward an unknown traitor among them.

  • The Asura God Envoy revealed that the fifth-layer rule was Trust and presented five paths filled with identical illusions of Gu Changsheng.
  • Xiao Wu, Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, Shui Bing'er, and Ning Qing each rejected the illusions by relying on their own judgment and understanding of Gu Changsheng.
  • The Asura God Envoy used the Flameless Lamp to trap Xiao Wu in an illusion that claimed Gu Changsheng had never loved her, but Xiao Wu recognized the deception and shattered it.
  • Gu Changsheng and his companions cleared the fifth floor, gained the Resonance Mark, and increased their Gate of the Other Shore Authority to 34%.
  • The Asura God Envoy revealed the next floor was Betrayal, and the companions’ Resonance Marks turned black as their power flowed toward one of them; Gu Changsheng noticed one figure had no shadow.

Ch. 143Sixth Layer, Betrayal!

Gu Changsheng and his companions cleared the Sixth Layer by resisting its attempt to make them betray one another, and gained the Shadow Pact. At the Godhood step, Ning Qing rejected the Asura seat and struck it with her Broken Sword, awakening the true Asura Godhood and ringing the Ninth Layer’s bell.

  • The Sixth Layer’s Betrayal rule rewrote one teammate and showed the group visions of each other attacking, while Gu Changsheng identified the rule’s goal as turning him into a new Asura vessel.
  • Ning Qing’s hand, forced by the rule, thrust her Broken Sword toward Gu Changsheng, but he trusted her and severed the Black Line controlling her wrist before the strike could land.
  • Gu Changsheng and the others stood together again, and the Sixth Layer cleared, granting them 42% Gate of the Other Shore Authority and the Shadow Pact.
  • The fourth step revealed an empty God Seat that would make its occupant Asura or erase anyone who refused, and Ning Qing chose to destroy it instead of inheriting it.
  • Ning Qing drove her Broken Sword into the God Seat, cracking it and awakening the true Asura Godhood as the Ninth Layer’s bell rang.

Ch. 144Seventh Layer, Empty Seat!

Gu Changsheng, Ning Qing, and their companions rejected the Seventh Layer’s demand that someone ascend the Asura God Seat and destroyed the empty seats instead. The Godhood fled into the Eighth Layer’s Memory Corridor, where they faced a vision of Gu Changsheng forcing Ning Qing onto the throne.

  • Asura’s Eye awakened and declared that one entrant had to claim the God Seat or become nourishment for the Godhood.
  • Blood-red chains tried to rewrite Ning Qing’s Seal of Self, while Gu Changsheng shielded her from the God Seat’s rules.
  • Asura’s Eye offered Xiao Wu the seat and revealed that the Seventh Layer required a collective ritual involving nine empty chairs.
  • Gu Changsheng anchored the five companions’ selves through Resonance, and Ning Qing used her sword intent to destroy the God Seat and all nine chairs.
  • The damaged Seventh Layer transferred the Godhood to the Eighth Layer’s Memory Corridor, and the five entered as a vision showed Gu Changsheng forcing Ning Qing onto the seat.

Ch. 145Eighth Layer, Memory Corridor!

Gu Changsheng and his companions faced memories of past heirs in the Eighth Layer’s Memory Corridor, rejecting the Asura Godhood’s claim that sacrificing Ning Qing was the only way forward. After breaking the corridor’s rules and freeing the erased souls, they entered the Ninth Layer to confront the living Asura’s Heart.

  • Ning Qing and the others saw a memory of another Gu Changsheng forcing Ning Qing onto the God Seat, and Gu Changsheng explained that this version sacrificed her to save his companions.
  • Gu Changsheng refused the memory’s demand for an efficient sacrifice, and the Gate of the Other Shore absorbed the shattered image.
  • The Asura’s Eye attacked the group through memories, but the five resisted together, and Ning Qing, Gu Changsheng, and his Divine Rings severed the memories’ connection to the Godhood.
  • The Memory Corridor collapsed, revealing the Ninth Layer and its complete, beating Asura’s Heart.
  • Ning Qing entered the Ninth Layer first with the others following, while the freed souls thanked them from the ashes.

Ch. 146Ninth Layer, Godhood!

Ning Qing and her companions rewrote the Asura Godhood rule instead of destroying the Asura’s Heart, ending the Asura Ancient Realm’s cycle of forced slaughter. They opened the gate to the Ruins of Myriad Realms, where an ancient voice called Gu Changsheng by name.

  • The Asura’s Heart revealed that godhood was a rule sustained by the realms’ desire for slaughter, and challenged Ning Qing and her companions with nine swords that attacked their choices and bonds.
  • Gu Changsheng anchored his identity and shared that anchor with the others, while Ning Qing declared herself independent of the Asura and split the ninth blood sword.
  • Ning Qing pierced the heart as Gu Changsheng and the others combined their powers to rewrite godhood, changing its rule so slaughter could no longer decide everything.
  • The Asura’s Heart became a transparent sword-shaped mark in Ning Qing’s palm, the Asura Ancient Realm collapsed, and the freed souls vanished as starlight.
  • Gu Changsheng opened the Starry Sky Gate to the Ruins of Myriad Realms, where an ancient voice said it had waited a very long time for him.

Ch. 147Ruins of Myriad Realms, the First Survivor!

Gu Changsheng and his companions confronted an older version of him who had devoured countless worlds in an attempt to resurrect the people he lost. After defeating him and freeing the ruined worlds, they discovered Tang San had found the gate to the End of Myriad Realms and set out for the Temple of Finality to find him and the source of the collapse.

  • Gu Changsheng and his companions entered the ruins and found an aged version of Gu Changsheng surviving by devouring worlds.
  • The old Gu Changsheng showed them visions of futures shaped by loss and offered to rewrite them in exchange for the Gate of the Other Shore.
  • Gu Changsheng rejected the offer, pierced the old man with his spear, and joined his companions in freeing the stolen worlds from him.
  • The old man turned to dust, and the group obtained an initial world coordinate as the Gate of the Other Shore's authority increased to 67%.
  • Ning Qing found Tang San's image in a crystal, revealing that he had located the gate to the End of Myriad Realms.
  • Gu Changsheng and his companions entered a black rift bound for the Temple of Finality, beginning the tenth trial.

Ch. 148Temple of Finality, Tang San!

Gu Changsheng and his allies separated Tang San from the Endfall Seal, stopping the worlds from collapsing, but uncovered a greater source of destruction inside a black coffin. They faced the newly revealed Tenth Level: Destruction, with three final levels remaining before they could go home.

  • Tang San revealed that he had embedded himself in the seal and threatened to destroy every world if they killed him.
  • Gu Changsheng discovered that Tang San was both the seal’s keeper and prisoner, and chose to separate him from the seal instead of killing him.
  • Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, Shui Bing’er, Ning Qing, and Xiao Wu helped Gu Changsheng resist the Black Chains and protect the collapsing worlds.
  • Gu Changsheng used the Gate of the Other Shore to strip the Endfall Core from Tang San, breaking the seal and halting the disasters across the worlds.
  • Tang San revealed that the real source of destruction lay inside a black coffin, where a gigantic eye awakened and triggered the final mission to sever Endfall.
  • Gu Changsheng and Xiao Wu stood together as the Tenth Level: Destruction appeared above the Temple of Finality.

Ch. 149The Tenth Floor: Destruction

Gu Changsheng and the others resisted the Chaos Giant Eye’s attempt to make them accept Finality, cleared the tenth floor, and gained the ability Rebirth. Tang San vanished after warning them that the eleventh floor was Creation, where a new seed asked Gu Changsheng what kind of world he would create.

  • The Chaos Giant Eye began erasing existence, and Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, Shui Bing'er, Ning Qing, and Gu Changsheng fought back by affirming their choices and refusing to surrender.
  • Gu Changsheng recognized that the trial sought to make them believe sacrificing one another was the only answer, and their five powers merged through the Gate of the Other Shore.
  • Xiao Wu joined Gu Changsheng at the gate, which opened and flooded Chaos with the light of countless lives they had helped.
  • Gu Changsheng and the others accepted the destruction of the old rules, then he thrust his Long Spear at the rule that Finality would inevitably descend.
  • The system declared the tenth floor cleared and granted Gu Changsheng the ability Rebirth with his Gate of the Other Shore Authority at eighty-one percent.
  • Tang San, stripped of his Divine Power, told Gu Changsheng that the eleventh floor was Creation before turning into a point of light, while a new seed asked Gu Changsheng what kind of world he would create.

Ch. 150Creation!

Gu Changsheng and his companions created a flawed world where people could choose, refuse, suffer, and begin again without being forced into salvation or immortality. As the white space collapsed, they prepared to leave for the final level, which Gu Changsheng said was going home.

  • Gu Changsheng and his companions discussed how to create a world without repeating Tang San's rule-bound order or forcing everyone to become gods.
  • Gu Changsheng wrote rules protecting choice, memory, and the right to refuse, while declaring that no single person could decide when the world must end.
  • When the seed demanded that they discard something, Gu Changsheng rejected sacrificing his companions and instead discarded the rule of using power to clean up after everyone.
  • The seed opened into a flawed world, and Tang San's remaining light sank into it as the world took shape.
  • Gu Changsheng and his companions saw dawn return and agreed to keep challenging oppressive rules and lies as they headed toward the final level, going home.

Ch. 151Home!

Gu Changsheng and his companions returned to the Star Dou Great Forest after dismantling the Empty Seat and changing the rules of godhood. They chose to live in an imperfect world and walked into the forest together, leaving the Gate of the Other Shore closed but not locked.

  • Xiao Wu confirmed they had returned to the Star Dou Great Forest, while Gu Changsheng saw that his Ninth Ring and the Gate of the Other Shore remained but no longer compelled him.
  • Ning Qing, Qian Renxue, Hu Liena, and Shui Bing'er each described how they would oppose coercive rule and return to their people or responsibilities.
  • Gu Changsheng said they would live as people rather than gods or endings, and the group agreed to face any future gates together.
  • Gu Changsheng admitted that people would still suffer but said he did not regret leaving the world imperfect so people could choose and stand together.
  • The six walked into the forest toward the human world as the Gate of the Other Shore closed behind them without being locked.
