He charged straight at the Sky-Swallowing Elephant's enormous tusk without any thought of dodging!

The huge tusk pierced clean through the Bloodthirsty Giant Bear!
The bear did not try to pull away. He kept pushing forward!
Just before the tusk struck, he had shifted slightly so it missed his heart.
Ignoring his wounds, the Bloodthirsty Giant Bear repeatedly slammed his good paw into the elephant's head.
Squelch!

Several deep claw marks appeared across the Sky-Swallowing Elephant's face!
Its trunk was nearly severed!
The Bloodthirsty Giant Bear had targeted it first.
With the elephant's tusk holding him in place, its trunk was the only thing that could still strike him!
So he meant to eliminate that threat first.
And the bear had judged correctly.
The Sky-Swallowing Elephant thrashed its trunk, trying to shove him off its tusk.
At the same time, it lashed the Bloodthirsty Giant Bear's head again and again.
The blows left his head a bloody ruin.
But he no longer cared. He made no attempt to defend himself and kept attacking the elephant's trunk.
