The noble officer froze. He truly had not expected these destroyed wrecks to have any recycling value.
There was practically no industry on their planet. Even the village blacksmiths were still burning coal to forge iron.
The funny thing was, some blacksmiths had once learned that there were tank and armored vehicle wrecks on the battlefield. They had secretly gone there, hoping to bring back some metal scraps for forging.

They were not even worth salvaging for reforging, so the destroyed tanks and armored vehicles were simply left where they were, unattended.
The noble officer did not understand the recycling value of those wrecks, but Catwoman Nova said directly:
"Ah, don't worry about so much. I'll send people to salvage those tanks and armored vehicles. Tell your soldiers not to shoot and let us through. I'll make it worth your while, okay?"
The noble officer could not make up his mind. After hesitating for a while, he suggested:
"I can't decide something like this. How about this? I'll take you to see the Duke. The Duke is the commander of the military base. If he agrees, everything will be easy."
Catwoman Nova agreed. After preparing a few gifts, she followed the noble officer to meet the Duke.
The Duke was inside an enormous bunker surrounded by gun turrets and steel plating. The bunker was covered in the noble family's banners, and the muzzles of two- and three-hundred-millimeter cannons pointed straight outward.
Catwoman Nova immediately recognized that this bunker was anything but ordinary. It was not a standard military bunker—it was a Knight Bastion!
