The fourth Baneblade Tank lay more than 1,000 kilometers north of the equator.
To the south of this planet lay the scorching Great Desert, sparsely populated. Farther north, however, was the rain belt.
On a vast plain lay what had once been an Agricultural Plains farming district. With its level terrain, it had been ideal for growing wheat.
The farmers here collectively raised some ten million head of livestock to plow the fields.
When harvest season came, the entire plain would ripple like a sea of wheat, its ears rolling in waves beneath the wind.
But now, that sea of wheat was gone, replaced entirely by earth torn apart by shells.
The once-flat agricultural district had become a battlefield between the two sides.
Because the terrain was so level, it was ideal for tank warfare. More than 200,000 armored vehicles had been assembled in the agricultural district by both sides.
Yet because this was a vast farming plain, the ground was utterly flat. There was not a single obstruction as far as the eye could see, making the tank battles here exceptionally brutal.
Before either side's tank forces could even close in, they began exchanging fire from several kilometers away, shelling each other as they charged forward. The wrecks of tanks and armored vehicles carpeted the route.
With no cover in sight, it came down to whose firepower was stronger and who feared death less.
By now, the entire Agricultural Plains was densely covered in the wreckage of tanks and armored vehicles.
Neither side could do anything to the other, because even if one defeated the enemy tank force, cannon units waited behind them.
Cannons had far larger calibers than tank guns. Once set up on the ground, they could threaten tanks and armored vehicles from much farther away.
