After everyone, including Titus, had digested the information, he continued outlining the tactical arrangements.
"Next, I need all of you to bring your warships to peak combat readiness, then cluster together at extreme fleet spacing and circle around the Fortress World, Thunder Saint Alliance.
Use our powerful naval guns and sturdy defenses to destroy as many Tyranid bio-ships as possible!"
So-called extreme fleet spacing meant no more than ten kilometers between each ship.
For massive vessels like warships, even a distance of one hundred kilometers counted as very close. Normally, when traveling in formation, ships stayed five hundred to a thousand kilometers apart.
After all, such enormous warships could not instantly accelerate or decelerate. Their inertia was simply too great.
Thus, it was standard for two ships to maintain nearly a thousand kilometers of distance while sailing in formation.
Titus was demanding that the ships sail in formation within ten kilometers of one another, like one person moving with their shoulder almost pressed against another's.
Such a formation naturally had its advantages. With warships so close together, the density of their outgoing firepower would be immense.
A concentrated salvo from nearly a thousand cannons could very likely sink a Tyranid bio-cruiser in a single round!
If the enemy charged their fleet, the close spacing between their ships would also make it impossible for the enemy to destroy their warships separately.
Overall, Titus's tactic was to cluster all the ships together, keep moving while bombarding the enemy, and eliminate their living forces.
Titus continued with his plan:
"I am certain that after suffering under our overwhelming firepower, the Tyranids will dispatch a large number of bio-warships to encircle and suppress us.
At that point, there will be fewer enemy ships near the Thunder Saint Alliance. Our transports can seize the opportunity
